This set of essays discusses the esoteric side of Freemasonry. The author, Walter Leslie Wilmshurst (1867-1939), shows the deeper meaning in his discussion of the orders of Freemasonry, the rites, ceremonies, and institutions of the ancients, the nature and furniture of the lodge, the apparel, jewels, and occupations, and the temple of Jerusalem. The Spirit of Masonry has been the essential source for anyone exploring the inner mysteries of the Masonic fraternity for more than 200 years.

this is a profound book on the spiritual side of Masonry and I think more brothers need to read this to understand why our craft is so important.

Well narrated and an easy listen. One I’m sure I’ll play again and share with other masons.

Every newly made Mater Mason should give Wilmshurst a listen. I found also the issues he presented which occurred many many years ago are the same as have today within the Craft.

Classic and relevant

I was looking for something more practical, but it's just like somebody telling all the stories about things you cannot know.
