Thirty-year-old Texas Ranger, Wyatt Peterson, is appointed a United States Marshal by the United States Attorney General. He is to hire two deputies to work with him on special, dangerous assignments.

The first person he makes a deputy marshal is twenty-eight-year-old Jed Tucker who everyone calls Tuck. He’s an old friend of Wyatt’s. Tuck is half white and half Waco Indian. Tuck is having a difficult time trying to live like an Indian in the white man’s world. As a Deputy US Marshal, he changes his appearance and lifestyle.

Morgan Foster is twenty-four and single. She is the daughter of an Irish boxer. Her father taught her and her older brothers how to box. Being a female and younger than the brothers that she boxes with, her father gave her more training to help her against them.

After Morgan is seen beating a man in a bar fight, she is hired on as the third Deputy US Marshal. Wyatt and Tuck teach her everything about guns and she becomes exceptionally good with them.
Before Morgan was hired, a devastating event happened on a mission that affects Wyatt causing him to mistreat Morgan.

Will Wyatt recover from that devastating event allowing him to treat Morgan fairly and let her into his heart?
