Publisher's summary

The heroic and honorable Zorro, an ace with a whip and a demon with a sword, fights for the poor and oppressed - a far cry from the effete young aristocrat Don Diego, who spends his days reading poetry and dreaming of the beautiful Lolita Pulido. When Lolita's family faces ruin and accusations of treason, Zorro must step in to save her family and her honor. But who is this masked caballero?

With action aplenty, The Mark of Zorro (also known as The Curse of Capistrano) is an exciting tale of adventure and romance that has charmed generations of audiences.

Fun romantic adventure, lively narration

I wasn’t familiar with the story and had so much fun listening to this book. Wonderful narrator. The story is pretty simple, focused on love and honor, only 9 characters. It breezes by and leaves you warm and fuzzy.

A Great Adventure Story For The Whole Family!

I'll be the first to admit that I was shocked to find out that Zorro was originally a literary character. That being said, this story still holds up even after over a century. While the twist ending can be seen coming from the moment Zorro makes his first appearance nowadays, he was also the first character like that to have lasting impact. It needs to be noted that, while billed as an unabridged production, this audiobook leaves out the first two pages or thereabouts of the second chapter, though it doesn't really impact anything. Homewood's performance really is commendable and works with the story and setting.

Excellent

I have seen the movies and even the cartoons in my life but I've never actually listened to the original novels until now. Zorro is a thrill ride of swashbuckling actions and adventure worthy of the heroes of it's time and today.
