CODY

Getting knocked up mid mission isn’t the absolute worst way to torpedo your special forces career, I guess. But getting knocked up by my best friend - a freaking mafia prince - makes for a special kind of FUBAR that military jargon just isn’t equipped to handle.

Life is about prioritizing what matters most and standing by those choices. I’ve never regretted mine. Parents said pick between being gay or being part of this family, I said see you later. My superiors said you can have a husband and kids or you can be the most badass omega special ops leader this army’s ever seen, I said sign me up.

The universe threw the beautiful and alluring ballet dancer Nikolai into my path and I picked friendship instead of the chance he might be the love of my life. I thought I was okay with that. That it wasn’t settling.

But now he’s missing and I’m pregnant after a night of too much drinking and too few inhibitions and all I know is I can’t do this without him. Not because I’m incapable. But because I’ve given up on too much without a fight. I won’t make the same mistake again.

NIKOLAI

Some say the family you choose matters more than the family you’re born with.

Growing up in Russia, I drew comfort from that. I didn’t have to be defined by people I had nothing in common with: the criminal enterprises, the abhorrent views on gay men and omegas in particular…so many things I was happy to leave behind when I left for a career dancing in New York.

But now they want me back, as a puppet in schemes that have nothing to do with me or what I want. My only hope lies with my best friend Cody. It’s not his capabilities I doubt. He’s so much more than he realizes.

No, it's that I don’t know he’ll even want to help me, once he realizes how much I’ve lied to him.

How many secrets I’ve kept.

But its all out in the open now. It’s time to face my past once and for all. Only then can I face my future.

This 50,000 word standalone novel about mafia men and mpreg will keep you on edge from start to its Happily Ever After. Sparks fly beneath the sheets while bullets fly in the streets, so be 18 and older when listening!

Great book!

This is another great book in this series. The narrator did a good job distinguishing between the characters. This is a low angst romance with a side of action/ adventure. I would definitely recommend!
I noticed in my copy at least there were a few editing glitches or maybe it's just in the download (not that technically skilled to know which). This didn't take anything away from the book, but threw me for a loop the first couple times.

Nikolai & Cody

Nikolai hides the truth about his life and his past from all of his brothers. He plays the comedic Russian, but he really wants a relationship with Cody. Cody thinks he must always be stronger than anyone else to "make-up" for being an Omega. It also does not help his superiors discount his abilities. Nikolai is the best with his jokes, assistance to Cody and his team, and his affection for his brothers. Great narration by Steve Millikin. The restating of the book title at the beginning of every chapter was distracting.

Good story

I really enjoyed the story and Steve Millikan reading of it. However I don’t understand why every chapter they said the name of the book and there was many time of sentences or couple of words being repeated.

Love the Performance; Hated the Editing.

I wanted to like this audio-book; however, the post production editing is abysmal. There are at least two dozen examples of repeated sentences, not to mention, the annoying decision to announce the title of the book at the start of each chapter. The narrator, Steve Millikin, has a great voice. However, the lack of post-production editing support is a real drag on the narration spoiling Mr. Millikin’s good performance.

The book’s plot is exciting and well worth enduring the poor editing support hampering Mr. Millikin otherwise able performance.

Worth A Listening!

This is the fourth book in The Frat Boys Baby Series. An intriguing book the writing was good. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. The characters were developed and thought out. Nikolai and Cody are the MC’s of this book. The narration was by Steve Millikin who is a new narrator to me. The narration was done well. He made an attempt at different voices for each character. He wasn’t monotone, and the flow of his narration was good. He made the book enjoyable to listen too. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

What a wonderful series of 5 books!

It has been awhile since I have had the pleasure of listen/read a series of books that pulled me in from page one of book one to the last page of book five. Mr. Millikin's narration only adds to the over all enjoyment of this book! I hope that you will take the time to down load and read and or listen to these five really enjoyable books. You will not be disappointed! The character development, the over all story line and the plot flows effortlessly all the while pulling you into the story with out even realizing it. I am so glad that both of these Authors are on my auto buy list. I have never been stirred wrong or disappointed in anything of theirs. An avid reader/listener in Rock Tavern, NY.

Action, adventure and Alphas!

I didn't know where to turn! There was so much action that my poor little romance heart almost couldn't take it but then there's this moment of sexiness that had me swooning in delight. Narration was spot on and the Russian accent was very well done!

Great story, rough audio

So I enjoyed this fast paced story that is the fourth installment of the Frat Boys Baby series. The Bates brothers have once again given us a story that is intense and impassioned. As much as I loved the actual story, I was deeply disappointed in the post production of the narration. Often times it sounds like it's recorded in a tin can, some times skips sections (had I not read this prior I fear I would have been lost), and had repeating sentences at times. I truly felt that the post production did a complete disservice to a great story.
