Publisher's summary

Bobby and Becca Warren are enjoying college life when a mysterious disease ravages the country. With chaos ensuing, they head for home to join their family, but when they arrive they discover their home has been burned and find the graves of their mother and youngest brother in the backyard.

With scavengers swarming over the neighborhood, the siblings decide to search for their father using clues he has left for them, but before they can find him they are captured by a local militia. Caught between a psychotic killer and an advancing foreign army with no chance to escape, their only hope rests with their father, who doesn't even know they are alive.

The Long Search for Home

I liked this book.It was very violent carrying over from book 1.It got better and was more enjoyable in the end. Jack de Golia was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

Nonstop action

Unlike other stories of this genre that can drag out and get caught up in a lot of side stories and drama. This one starts out right in the middle of the action and stays on course. The siblings are already on their way home with America falling around them in their search for their family back home. I really enjoyed it and would love a follow up to their story and what lies next in store for the family and new friends. I was given this audio in exchange for honest and voluntary review.

Lots of action

This is a continuation of the story begun in Random Survival. It introduces more characters, but it's all about fighting and violence. There's one battle or violent conflict after another, sometimes even concurrently. There's virtually nothing about everyday survival. How do they feed themselves? Where does all the gasoline and amunition come from? There's a little about interpersonal relationships, but even that isn't very realistic. At least, the story does not end in a cliffhanger.

Jack de Golia delivers another satisfying performance with this second audiobook in the series.
