Wonderful Story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Highly recommended. The Little Rose is a wonderful story about a little rose growing up amidst a garden of thick weeds. Picked on and bullied for being "different," she tries to hide in the background, and blend in by cutting off her blooms as they start to appear. But you can't deny who you are, and she soon she is discovered and transported to a beautiful rose garden where she can spread out. Now encouraged and nurtured by the neighboring flowers she reaches her full potential. Although you might seem out of place, bloom and grow...we are all roses!

What did you like best about this story?

I love the moment when the little rose feels brave enough in her own skin and dosen't feel like she has to hide. She embraces her inner awesomeness.

Which scene was your favorite?

Each scene builds on to the next so it's hard to pick a favorite. The story flows nicely. Well written.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me feel happy. I love that the author read the book herself. Adds a wonderful personal touch.

Any additional comments?

Sheri's voice was wonderful to listen to.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Little Rose. Because she overcame being bullied to see her true worth and value.

This is the first recording I listened to of Sheri's. She did a great job!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Adorable and Encouraging

I see a lot of children's books that beat readers to death with their meaning, not knowing that children by default hate this. Though "the little rose" certainly has a strong message of encouragement, it sticks to its metaphor and delivers that medicine with ease. If you have a child that feels out of place, even though you know they are destined for great things, buy this book now.

Awesome Book , Everybody needs to Read this!

My hat goes off to Ms. Sheri Fink for bringing such a powerful message of hope, inspiration and encouragement especially to our young people . This book really got my attention and made me think . Bullying is real, and young kids are committing suicide everyday because of it. This book should be a mandatory read in every school no matter what age. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to hear it on audible books and will be sharing it everywhere I go. Again. Thanks Ms. Fink for writing so eloquently from your heart.

The Little Rose

This is a delightful book for children that are new to a neighborhood, school or just learning to be themselves in any social environment. I love the positive message at the end of the book.
