“A splendiferous Halloween story.” —The Horn Book

“A great purchase for Halloween or any time of year.” —School Library Journal (starred review)

Once upon a time, there was a little old lady who was not afraid of anything! But one autumn night, while walking in the woods, the little old lady heard . . . clomp, clomp, shake, shake, clap, clap.

And the little old lady who was not afraid of anything had the scare of her life! With bouncy refrains, this is a fun and timeless Halloween story.

My grandkids love read this book and making the clap clap sounds as well as all the other clothing sounds. It’s wonderful to play in the car.

Great book to listen to with the kids in the car

A great storyline for kids, easy to follow and a great story to have children participate with friends. Perfect for kids to put on a show with (dress up theatre).

Where does The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

For my kids, this is their favorite audio book (even though they have it memorized). Its a fun book, a great narrator, and is truly a classic. A perfect "scary story" for the younger kids. (I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old)

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything?

Anytime the pumpkin head goes "Boo!"...the narrator does a great job with voic acting for this story.

What does Cecelia DeWolf bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She reminds me of a favorite librarian reading a story at story hour at the library...she seems to enjoy reading/telling the story as much as my kids love listening and acting along with it!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My kiddos laugh and laugh and laugh with the story.

Any additional comments?

A great halloween story that isn't too scary for younger kids, without being restrictively "seasonal"...my kiddos listen to it all the time, and love to act along with all the wiggling, shaking, clomping and etc. This is the version I recommend the most (I downloaded two different ones, but this is the house favorite)

A fun and delightful story!

I wished it had more sound effects would have made it better like the stomping and clapping.

More sound effects would be better
