Publisher's summary

Enchanting, mysterious, and deeply romantic, The Lighthouse follows a young woman's breathtaking journey far from home to discover where she truly belongs.

Something strange is happening in Seabrook. The town's lighthouse - dormant for over 30 years and famously haunted - has inexplicably started shining, and its mysterious glow is sparking feverish gossip throughout the spooked community.

Amy Tucker is only visiting for the night and has no plans to get caught up in the hysteria, but that changes when she meets Ryan, the loyal, hard-working son of a ranch owner who lives on the outskirts of town.

Their chance encounter turns into an unforgettable weekend, and against the backdrop of the lighthouse-obsessed town, the two of them forge a deep connection, opening their hearts, baring their souls, and revealing secrets long kept hidden.

But as they grow closer, and as the lighthouse glows ever brighter, a startling discovery about Ryan leaves Amy questioning everything she thought she knew. To uncover the truth about her new friend, Amy will need to enter Seabrook’s ominous tower, where waiting inside she will not only find the reason why fate has brought them together...but a shocking secret that will change the course of their lives forever.

The Lighthouse

Heartwarming, superb book... couldn't put it down. Revelations throughout book that kept you interested all the way through. This is not my usual genre in reading, but found it really refreshing. Hopefully I can find more books like this.

Braden Wright's elevates this poignant tale

Received as a review copy from NetGalley, this is an honest review. This truly amazing, deftly emotional journey that surround Kevin Tucker and his daughter Amy as they drift apart in the wake of their wife and mother, Helen's death; and Ryan Porter and his father with their struggle to hold onto the ranch and home they love. The small town of Seabrook is wonderfully painted with its eccentric characters and a mysterious, crumbling lighthouse;, from the haunting encounter that brings Ryan and Amy to cross paths, both discover a unique bond in their personal traumas. Seabrook's lighthouse and cliffs become the backdrop for the highly shocking twist that deeply alters the world that Ryan and Amy inhabit that makes this story even more memorable than it already was. Highly recommended.

I loved this book

I never give five stars but I loved this story so much. Took me on a very unexpected adventure. Generally speaking I don’t like mysteries but this is different. I can’t state enough how much I enjoyed it. The narrator is great too. My only complaint is that there isn’t another book by this author. What a disappointment. I hope he considers doing another, maybe even a sequel.

Only finished it because it was a book club choice…

I am wondering if I read the same book as all the 4-5 starred reviewers did. I thought the story went on way too long & was a bit too much of a fairy tale, bordering on the ridiculous. Seems very preteen or YA.

I only finished it because it was a book club choice. Disliked the main character, very young for 18 & selfish. Would warn anyone to not waste a credit or time on this book.

Worth The Confusing Parts

The twists and turns made this a bit confusing and at times I almost gave up
on it . I am,however , glad I finished the book . Everything did come together perfectly and I enjoyed it a lot !

Sweet story

Although I enjoyed the story, it did seem a bit contrived in the middle. I realized what was happening though and loved the way it was all resolved. I anticipated what was going to happen and cheered when I was correct! I will look for other stories from this author.
