From Jannis DeGraw Buhr, author of the acclaimed historical fiction series, The MacCauley Trilogy, comes this inspirational and suspenseful mystery.

Camp Norwood is a remote camp in the Catskills of New York. Tim Barrett, camp director, is obsessed with the large security light in the center of the campground, claiming it brings some form of peace and safety. Is he worried about the “madman” that, according to camp legend, roams the grounds at night choosing female lifeguards as his victims?
Five college students—Jake, Brian, Katie, Cassie and Allie—travel to Norwood for the summer along with other students via a work study program to help with underprivileged children from NYC. Jake and Katie serve as lifeguards down at the beautiful Lake Dunsmore nestled in the mountains. And someone is watching. Is it the “madman?” Is Katie really in danger?

As the five students bond, there’s romance brewing in the mountain air. Jake is a Christian and though he’s made a vow to God to only date believers like himself, he struggles to keep his commitment. Katie has a boyfriend back home and she’s conflicted.

Will there be a summer romance? Will all the friends make it through the camp sessions safely? Why is Barrett overprotective of Katie? And why does he set a midnight curfew for the entire staff? Does the “madman” exist or is he just a legend?

And who is the true “Light” amidst all the darkness at Camp Norwood?
