Tony Blair was seen as a fresh face for the Labour Party. A party moderniser, he created 'New Labour' and appealed more to the central political ground. During his 10 years in office, he created the London mayoralty, negotiated the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland and went to war in Iraq. Some say he is one of the most significant prime ministers of the 20th century; others say he will always be judged by his decision to take the country to war.

The Life and Times of Tony Blair looks back on a significant career of one of Labour's most memorable modern-day leaders, with insights from political contemporaries David Blunkett, Tessa Jowell, Michael Howard, and Ken Livingstone.

Jo is an experienced broadcast journalist, having worked as a reporter, producer and news editor in both the commercial and public sectors. Most recently, Jo has been at the helm as senior producer of the Sony award-winning Nick Ferrari Breakfast Show. Her experience in a fast-paced newsroom has given her a keen eye for detail and the desire to get to the heart of a story. In the Life and Times series, Jo uses her political contacts to delve deeper into the background and decision-making that surrounded Tony Blair’s time in office.
