OMG! Loved Paul Woodson’s interpretation of Ronan

I absolutely adore all of Jewel E. Ann’s books! I always pre-order them and read them as soon as they become available. If there is any accompanying audio book I always purchase that as well. Paul Woodson’s voice and French accent absolutely made this story even more incredible! It brought a totally new dimension to Ronan’s character.

Jewel,
If you read this please, Please, PLEASE get all of your books on audio! I love listening to them when I am driving, cleaning, etc. Nothing beats the written word when I read your books for the first time but I get so much out of the audio books as well. May I please request you convert the Holding You series next?! Thank you !!! ❤️

This was fantastic!

I loved everything about this book. The characters, the storyline.. what happened to Graham (I didn’t like him much).

Evelyn and Ronan.. they’re a couple on the true sense. All they go through here proves the love they have for one another is real and true. There is so much happening in this book… an obsession comes to light, there’s lies and deception.. a lot happens. It’s very much worth the listen and the narrators.. they’re excellent!!

Draining

The chickens came home to roost in the second book. An incredible amount of angsty moments that scraped my mind, leaving painful scars. The narrative of the (what felt like neverending) secrets and lies made this a very stressful book. The story dragged under the weight of the sadness that the secrets fuelled.

Silence and wilful blindness nurtured hurt, pain and resentment between friends. The characters were trapped and I felt trapped with them. The circling cesspool of secrets made me skip parts of the story and I didn’t miss anything important.

The book dished out hurt and sadness in mammoth lumps, leaving me drained. I felt cheated by the promises of the great first book.

The author ties everything together and much of the story in the book had a purpose. A f*ed up purpose. I wished I never read this book, which is rare. So in good conscience I cannot recommend it, but if you decide to still read it then I strongly advise against reading this book without reading the first.
