_______________________________________

Journey beneath the diplomatic veneer of international politics and beyond the reach of conventional military operations into the epicenter of clandestine affairs - where diplomats dance and spies collide in wars that never make the news.

For the next step in its expansionist agenda, the Kremlin devises a covert coup far more devastating than Bin Laden's most dangerous dream. With the American economy in his crosshairs, Russian President Vladimir Korovin picks suitable pawns and pulls sizable levers, initiating the boldest gambit the world has ever seen.

Halfway around the world, the White House develops a plan for derailing Russian aggression. A way-off-the-books, high-risk, high-reward plan. American President William Silver identifies the perfect person for his impossible mission: former CIA operative Kyle Achilles.

With their plans in place and their spies undercover, each president is confident that he has outplayed the other - until everything goes wrong.

The Lies of Spies will keep you guessing from first moment to last with the suspenseful twists and unpredictable turns listeners expect from Tim Tigner. Don’t start it at night if you plan to work in the morning.

A fun ride!

A fun international espionage action & adventure with a smidgen of romance! It doesn't hurt that Dick Hill, who makes everything he narrates even better, is the narrator! You have to suspend reality a bit (if the entire country is looking for you I doubt you could fly all around the world without consequence) but nonetheless I enjoyed it!

Another great Achilles novel

Tim Tigner and Dick Hill have teamed up to once again bring us an amazing story of intrigue and mystery. The Achilles series, in my opinion, can be placed at the top of the list of "must listen to" thriller series ever produced. Like the preceding books, Tigner has spun numerous plots and surprising twists into a gripping novel. And Dick Hill does what Dick Hill does best, he brings the characters to life in a way no other narrator can. This is DEFINITELY a must have!

Excellent story told by a master story teller.

I highly recommend this book. Dick Hill is one of the best narrators, and Tim Tigner has raised the bar with this story.

A Rare 5 Star Read & Performace

Great narration especially the oriental
shady opportunist. The story most
intriging & spell binding.

Prob more 4.5 star but I have 5

Performance was solid 5; but I was not crazy about the ending. It seemed a bit rushed and too ‘buttoned up’

Finding Friends In Strange Places

In the Spy Game, your opponents are from other countries, but with identical goals... getting important information that helps the balance of power shift to your side, protecting your people/homeland, having fantastic adventures and testing yourself against unlikely odds, hoping to come out ahead. But sometimes the heads of state want much more than they should have, not caring about the carnage dealt to civilians. It's then that deception, turned to decency makes for finding friends in strange places. Achilles is the thinking man's spy. Murder isn't his go-to. He doesn't take the easy way out. And he sticks to protocols, taking time away on a climb to think things through. His plans are elaborate, with lots of contingencies, but he still recognizes that things can go wrong, and they often do. But he stays focused on the goal even when those around him lose faith. Achilles thinks with his heart as well as his head. Romance with Katya moves forward and he legitimately respects her intellect and abilities. Love, love, love these stories.
