Story
We know what we're up against now. Who we're up against. But if he holds all the cards, the truth hardly matters. The kings of Linwood want me to run. They want me far away from here, where I'll be safe. I won't go, though. I refuse to leave my mom behind, and the four boys who've each claimed a piece of my heart won't let me face this threat on my own. They swear they'll do whatever it takes to end this. To keep me safe. Since we won't back down, fighting is our only option. But I've played poker long enough to know that sometimes when you risk everything...you lose everything.

Plucked out of the harsh life I was living and thrust into a world of unimaginable wealth, power, and privilege, all I want to do is keep my head down and survive until graduation. But they have other plans - Mason, Finn, Elias, and Cole. Everyone at my new school calls them the Princes, and that’s exactly what they act like. They always get what they want...and who they want. And they want me. I’m not sure why, since they all seem to hate me. The Princes are gorgeous, flawless, and cruel. They own this town, and they’re determined to own me, too.

My whole life, I’ve been groomed as American royalty, raised to be the perfect daughter of the wealthy elite. On my 16th birthday, my father bought me an Aston Martin. And on my 17th birthday, the Feds took everything away. With my father in prison for fraud and nothing left to our name, my mom and I are forced to move to a tiny house across town, and I transfer to Slateview Public. It wasn't supposed to be like this. Evergreen Academy was meant to be my fresh start. My hair was on point. My skin was flawless. And now, I wore the hell out of my clothes instead of hiding them. Even running into Ryder hadn't thrown me. So what if the silver-eyed devil who tormented me for years now ruled my new school with a band of boys everyone called the Knights. For the most part, people ignore or avoid them. After all, they’re royalty here. Because one of them - the cruelest one - is the headmaster’s son. And my new stepbrother. They can try to torment me. Publisher's Summary
Rich boys don't fraternize with the help.
They don't care about the help.
They don't protect the help.
I should've remembered those lessons before I handed over my trust to four gorgeous, domineering boys.
But I didn't.
And now, I'm not the only one who's been hurt.
Someone out there is toying with me and my family, and I don't know who to turn to or who to trust.
I never wanted to play this game. But since the pieces are already on the board...
I'm sure as f--k gonna play to win.

Swimming's never been this fun before!💦
As another reviewer mentioned, I want to go swimming too! :D
It's been a while since I've read a reverse harem that's so easy and natural.
Linc, River, and the twins are perfect. They trust each other blindly and act as one unit.
We learn more about River in this book --I love how his bros always has his back.
Harlow's overthinking is kind of annoying, but she's lucky they all like her.
We don't know who to trust anymore. More secrets are discovered.
A dead girl's double life of forbidden mistakes finally caught up with her.
Savannah's an even bigger bitch than normal and Trent's her little bitch 2.0.
Having a good poker face is an essential skill set here, especially when lies are more valuable than the truth. But are they ready to cash out and get more than they bargained for? #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

What the Nancy Drew???
This is a silly who-done-it book. And not a good one.
Yet another cliffhanger ending. This is basically one long pointless book broken into three books.
The covers are misleading. There is very little steam in these books. This is a Nanny Drew level murder mystery with a touch of teenager attraction. Not enough to drive the story and not enough to hold your attention.
The narrator kills this book for me. She made the FMC sound immature and silly. To the point you can't support her. Her internal thoughts are so surface level, she sounds more like a thirteen year old.
Not a good book. This author has landed on my 'do not buy' list. I would not recommend. Save your credit.

The Lie is so so good
I definitely fell in love with Lincoln and River in this one.I love how Lincoln is so possessive yet so sensitive and gentle then gets all rough and domineering in the bedroom! He pretty much covers it all haha.He isn’t the best with his emotions and expressing himself.but the other guys help out in that front.River is someone I want to cuddle forever and never let go. This is such an outstanding story and I could not stop listening to it. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this whole audiobook. I highly recommend everyone to check this series out.

Jaw drop
This series will definitely grip you and not let go. Callie Rose brings mystery to RH and it’s so good. I read this series almost a year ago and since I’m now listening to the audio, I’m refreshing my reviews.
“So, how do you like swimming?”
...
“It’s… I like it. A lot.”
— The Lie (Kings of Linwood Academy Book 2) by Callie Rose
And just like that, I’ll never look at a pool in the same way. I’ll never ask anyone if they want to go swimming without having a private smile. I’ll think of Harlow, Lincoln, River, Dax, and Chase. I’ll think of cool water and warm bodies and staying in the shallow end. (If you know, you know)
And if that isn’t enough to intrigue you, Harlow’s mom is now in jail, awaiting trial for a murder she didn’t commit. Harlow and the boys are navigating falling in low and solving this mystery.
A solid second book in a series dear to my heart.
I love the narration, even though there are a few mispronounced words. It’s annoying but not enough to not enjoy the story.

Things are heating up!
Amanda Stribling narrated this story perfectly; I enjoyed listening to her.
Things heat up a bit between Harlow and The Kings of Linwood Academy in this book. The boys begin to make it known that Harlow is theirs and not to be messed with. Harlow is busy trying to uncover the truth about the murder her mother is being framed for and the boys are quick to help, once they smooth things over after their betrayal at the end of book 1. The growth within this group is satisfying and enticing. It will be interesting to see where things go in book 3!

Book 2
The story hasn't got me sitting on the edge of my seat. Harlow grates on me a little bit, it's like she's a Hypochondriac. Harlow isn't good at investigating, she jumps to too many conclusions, makes the evidence fit her suspect then gets upset when it's not that person. Also, I’m finding that the narrator's voice for Harlow is very whiny. The relationship with the four boys is still underdeveloped and it would be nice to know what the boys think and feel. We don’t get their points of view.
I’m hoping book 3 is better written and we start to get some answers to all the unanswered questions.

I cannot wait to listen to more
The tension and suspense is really amped up in this second book in the Kings of Linwood academy trilogy. With Harlow's mother behind bars she doesn't know who to trust but she knows she needs help to help her mother and to help work out just who is responsible for the crime that they witnessed, the crime her mother is charged with.
The is still plenty of steam, and it's well written, but Callie Rose merges steam and suspense so well!
The narration is still at a very high standard and is consistent with the previous book in this series.

It's getting steamier
YES!!
Thank you! The development I was asking for in book 1 is established in book 2.
Harlow and the Kings are in for the ride of their lives and they don't even know it! I want all the answers.
I loved the struggles that Harlow is facing, I know that sounds harsh but it brings her character to life! It shows her strength and her determination and it even shows her break. All of those are great. All of those helped make her real.
This book is much better than the first one, the story is intensifying and the relationships are heating up. There are a few steamy scenes that I was soooo there for!
So let's talk about the Kings for a second.. First we have Lincoln, I like him and I like seeing him and the others with Harlow. I like him and Harlow together on their own too. Then we have Dax and Chase, I want more from them, it seems they are the same person.. I know they are twins but I want there to be differences in their personalities or a special connection or something with them and Harlow. I don't really know what I'm asking for other than just more from them. Lastly, we have River. My favorite of them all. Him and Harlow have a true connection and he is the one I love the most! I don't know how Harlow can not have a favorite, I mean is that a thing with polyamorous relationships? Do you develop a favorite? It seems inevitable.
Again, Amanda Stribling did wonderful with the emotions and she made me FEEL the steam when things got hot. I felt the emotions she was feeling throughout the book and I loved it!

Probably a me thing.
I tried getting into this book, I really did, but the entire thing was so over done and obnoxious, I just couldn't get into it, no matter how hard I tried to. And at this point I think it's really just me, so I won't say anymore.

Amazing 2nd Installment! Steamy Mystery
I love book two even more!! It keeps getting better and better! The angst, tension, steam, and danger is perfect! I love how Callie’s books grab my attention and don't let go! They have fantastic mystery and angst, but not so much that I don't enjoy it! Some books stress me out, but hers are a perfect balance. Thank you #audiobookobsession

Love it
It keeps on getting better and better. I like how her time was split by being one on one with the guys. Again Amanda Stribling is new to me but I am loving her voice. She did an amazing job at narrating.

With the Lie Out, Will the Truth Come Out???
The LIE: Book 2, The Kings of Linwood Academy, the daughter; with the protection of the Kings, they all continues to find the true guilty person. As they search, they learn about other lies that has been kept secret. Will it put a monkey wrench into their search, or even into their unusual relationship among each other. We will learn more with Book 3: "The Risk."
Amanda Stribling continues to give 150% and more with her performance throughout her storytelling of both books 1and 2. I look forward to the final conclusion of trilogy; "The Risk: Kings of Linwood Academy, Book 3.
I do recommend this book and also Book 1. And, let's go ahead and throw it all in. I'm willing to lay down my cards, because it's going to be worth it.

Wow!
It’s a very good thing that I have book 3 already in my library and ready to listen to!!!
What a ride this book is! The mystery of what is happening Harlots mother absorbs her and the Kings I’d Linwoods every waking moment!! They are sure they know who the real killer is and work to prove it.
Their relationship flourishes along the way. However... what the find and don’t find is what held my attention, and the end, again left my chin on my chest!!! Gotta go listen to book 3!!! Callie Rose is a genius!!
Amanda Stribling’s voice is perfect for these characters!!

The intensity heats up in The Lie
And I thought the Help was intense. Things really intensify in this sequel. Lies, angst, suspense and the mean girls are all at play. Harlow and the Kings become their own detectives to try to save Harlow's mom. But as they dig deeper, they uncover more and more lies. As they work together, the relationship of the 5 grow more intense. I loved everything about this book. If it were not for the occasion mention of classes and tests, I would have forgotten they were all in high school. The Kings and Harlow dealt with some major adult topics that had me hooked from the first book. I could not stop listening and had to immediately jump into book 3. This is one series that will grab you and not let you go.
Amanda Stirling once again brought this book to life. She kept all the characters consistent and easy to follow. Her inflictions brought the suspense to a whole new level. I was captured by Stirling's narration and felt as if I was running beside Harlow. Stirling enhanced the experience of this story.

Just another damsel in distress. But with sex..
basically just another romance book where the girl depends on a guy(s) to do thing for her, protect her, and complains the whole time and for some reason habe no common sense.
the first book looked promising but was let down by this second one.
