Publisher's summary

The democracy of the United States was not carefully guarded. Complacency on one side, naive hope on another, and determined planning and attack on both sides lead to the fall of a country. The fight was dirty, full of lies, violence, and hateful rhetoric.

After the dictator's rise, anyone who spoke against him publicly was taken prisoner. Betrayed by family and friends who thought they were doing the right thing, these innocents were placed into federal prisons far from home. Some families escaped to the north or the south. The north was safer for a time. Those that went south were hunted down ruthlessly. Many were killed.

In the first few years, deep hackers set up a shadow net surrounded by encryption to allow unmonitored communication. Rebels created strategic battles and food distribution. As it became known by the public, the Rebel Church became the driving force and hope of the rebel force. Influencers were sought out, and spies were set up in prisons for communication purposes. These letters were smuggled out.
