Publisher's Summary
Solve a murder, save her mother, and stop the apocalypse? No problem. She has a foul-mouthed troll on her side.
Hear the first three audiobooks in the best-selling Leira Chronicles series in this bundle!
For Austin Homicide Detective Leira Berens, happy is running down bad guys and solving crimes. And she’s damn good at it. Which is why when the Light Elf prince is murdered, the king breaks a centuries-old treaty and crosses between worlds to seek her help.
Wait a minute. An elf? Like from Lord of the Rings or something? Yeah, Leira has a hard time accepting that. But it doesn’t matter what she believes. Magic is real, and it’s coming back with a literal bang.
The prince’s death was only the beginning. Tracking down his killer is about more than just justice. It’s about saving the world.
If you’re looking for a heroine who chases bad guys instead of boyfriends, this series is for you!

new GO-TO when I need a laugh
I started this series because my granddaughter loves paranormal type of books… Since she’s 11 years old, I will routinely read books to see whether or not they are age appropriate, and determine whether or not I will buy it for her. While this book series does not include adult situations, it’s going to have to wait awhile before my granddaughter can listen to or read it. For no other reason then the language. And it takes every bit of my self restraint to not tell her about Yumfuck Tiberius Troll!! This is one of the most entertaining and hilarious reads, and the audible version... this is a new GO-TO when I need a laugh! Thank you Martha Carr and Michael Anderle (and of course, Carly Robins for the narration)!!!

Going for too much with too few words.
my over all impression of this series is that each book needed more explanation as to why characters did what they did. There were a lot of perspectives that ended up being glossed over tropes... I have very much enjoyed more recent books by these authors and do enjoy seeing the growth of these authors as they enhance their craft!

Lots of Magic, Mayhem and a Troll!
I initially read these books via Kindle Unlimited and loved them.
Leira is a detective and starts seeing flashes of gold. She thinks she's going the same way as her mother - crazy. She's not, and neither is her mother. It turns out there is another world full of elves, witches, wizards, pixies, fairies, willens, gnomes, trolls and many, many more.
The King of the Light Elves comes to earth via a portal and asks Leira to solve the murder of his son. Correk, his Light Elf aide, is tasked with helping Leira solve the crime.
Whilst on Oriceran, Correk warns Leira to steer clear of the trolls, but she accidentally saves one from harm. The troll is now bonded to Leira and she has to care for him. Unfortunately, he gets into a LOT of trouble and causes mischief and mayhem wherever he goes.
I loved listening to this audio book as it brought the troll (Yumf*ck Tiberius Troll or YTT for short) to life - the narrator, Carly Robins, does a really good job of this and I often find myself hearing her say Yumf*ck in my head several times a day lol.
There are loads of books in the Oriceran Universe - all good in their own right.
Well worth listening to, and if you have a Kindle, get the books as well - you won't regret it.

Perfect series
Listened to all four books just wish books 5-8 were available on audible. I listened to 5-8 on Alexa but I like the narrators reading as Alexa is boring and spoils the enjoyment.
