Audiobook of the year??

Wow... What a fun 3.5 hours this audiobook was. Mike is the man and this book is an awesome story about his life.

Oh and Steve Stansell murdered it as the narrator for Mike. Pure fire.

Love this mans life story so real, so relatable. This book i know is very resourceful alot of hidden gems, i know i can come back to this and there will be plenty of "aha moments ☺"

As I write this, Mike lives the life I've always wanted but never knew how to achieve. I came to southeast Asia with no plan and never went back to the States and while out here after a couple years decided to become an entrepreneur. I'm thankful there's content out there like this so I can sort of reverse engineer their success. This has inspired me and given me different perspective which has actually lead me to Making some huge risks in my businesses that have been incredibly beneficial. Now it's just a matter of scaling and outsourcing. Then I can have the freedom to create more content involving traveling the world on my YouTube channel

Decent, not groundbreaking

If you can get past the childlike story telling, this book makes some good points. Maybe it’s for a younger audience but there’s nothing I heard here that I hadn’t already gotten a variation of that was more thoughtful. I read it on a recommendation after having mentioned that I’d just finished a Conscious Leadership book; I think the recommender never actually read this. Anyway, not bad by a long shot but also not that great. Just OK. If you’re over 25 and already established, maybe pass on this one.

A 22 year old tells you about life

He's 22 and knows it all. This is more of a autobiography than anything else. Which is weird because he's...pretty darn young. He tells us about his brutal life struggle growing up only middle class and having horrible challenges such as - gasp! - being made fun of because he was small for his age and had the sniffles. But our hero eventually overcomes the physical challenge by doing basic exercises and....well, growing up. And now he can eat whatever he wants and never gets fat! Imagine that, a thin Asian guy who never gets fat! Wow! It's all because of intermittent fasting and a few targeted exercises, he tells us. Ok then.

This book is full of generalizations, assumptions, and more than occasional unnecessary expletives (and I love expletives!) just to show you he's a cool dude who can hang.

I do applaud the guy for having great success running an online business and apparently making a mint at such a young age. But I wouldn't necessarily hang on every word of wisdom about life in general that he imparts on the reader. He does make it clear that he doesn't want others to see him as a guru but it seems like he's fishing for at least a liiiiitle bit of back-patting. Fair enough. He does give credit to folks like Tony Robbins and Tim Ferriss for setting him on the right path.

Overall, this is probably a good foundation book for a young reader (late teens, early 20s). I do like that he figured out that a 9-5 job isn't the way to riches while he was still young - and had the drive to do something about it.
