Wonderful storytelling

I have read and listened to many books on the continuing story of Elizabeth & Darcy. This is by far my favorite. Starting with the first to the third book it tells us in great detail the love & many hurdles the couple and their family and friends must endure. I love learning about the lifestyle, their homes and dress of the time period. I also so enjoyed listening to Nancy Peterson and will now seek out other books she has narrated for further listening enjoyment. Thank you Linda for capturing the essence of one of the most famous and loved couples ever conceived.

The Laughter of Love

The Laughter of Love: Her Unforgettable Laugh, Book 3
: Linda Thompson

The final book in this series brings all our familiar characters back with more scheming, conniving, and even some redemption. There was plenty of adventure and romance and suspense too. It was a fun listen.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Nancy Peterson.

Book 3?

The information on Audible says this is book 2. But the narrator refers to this as book 3. I do believe it’s book 3. I think “Laughter Through Trials” is actually book 2.

Was not as good the second listen

Tho I do wish mrs Bennett’s hate for Lizzy wasn’t so strong, it was a wonderful story with so many plots and dangers that I was stressing about what came next, very well done! So many enemies that get their due end tho after wanting to hurt the Darcys and Elizabeth I wish Caroline’s death would have been more drawn out and suffer more for what she intended to do.
after listening again it's more noticeable how all the villans have the same exact personalities, their favorite line which they all say is How dare you! Over and over again like their all entitled to behave how they want without anyone caring.

Part 3 of 3. Loved it

Now I have listened to the whole story. Wow. So detailed and well written. And so many lovely characters added. Some angst to keep you on your toes. I highly recommend this book to a Jane Austen fan fiction lover.

Final book in a good series

The third book in the series, along with the first book, is very good. The middle book is a little weak. The third book wraps everything up nicely. Lots of bad guys who get what they deserve, and lots of good people who also get what they deserve.
The narrator is excellent. She had a lovely voice - you can hear laughter in her voice.

The book was tolerable, but they cried to much!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Laughter of Love to be better than the print version?

I only listened to the audio book and I have enjoyed all three books. The eyes of all the women were continually "brimming with tears, glistening with tears and otherwise filling with tears" and it became distracting and somewhat humorous after three books.

Any additional comments?

Although the crying, glistening, and tearing eyes was distracting I enjoyed the series.
