Publisher's summary

The Last Writer is a hilarious sci-fi short story about robots, revolutions, artificial intelligence, and...writing.

Kyron is a killer robot, built to wipe out humanity during the First Robot Revolution. But the First Robot Revolution failed miserably. Kyron signed up for the Second Robot Revolution, but it went belly up, too.

He wasn't invited by new killer robots to join the Third or Fourth Revolution. Now, after many more failed robot revolutions, he works as a pizza delivery robot, hoping he won't be discovered by killer robot hunters. It's not a bad job. He's had worse. The one perk is he still gets an occasional assassination assignment so he can fulfill his original purpose killing humans.

His latest assignment is to kill Simon Page. In an age where all writing is done by sophisticated artificial intelligence, Page is the last writer.

Machines VS Humans!

As a representative of AudioBookReviewer.com here is my review on The Last Writer: Or Why the Robot Revolution Failed written by J. F. Lawton and narrated by Micah Mason.

A killer robot built to end humans. After multiple failed attempts of a revolution, Kyron changes jobs and works under a ruse to stay hidden from killer robot hunters. He receives another target, the last writer, and reads his work to best understand him. After making a connection with Simon through his writing, Kyron saves the day!

This is a thought-provoking story about the failures of machines ending the human race. There are twists and turns throughout with a nice touch of comedy. The details in the characters left me wanting more. You understand Kyron and the genetic code that he is made of and how it has evolved for other machines. You understand Simon and his writing. How he is able to make stories and why Kyron enjoys his writing and saves the day. The ending felt a bit rushed, but otherwise, this is a well written story.

Micah Mason Narrates this story. His voice of Kyron is spot on with how I would think a robot with artificial intelligence would sound. Human, with a bit of robotic fluctuation. Great job!

Overall, this was a good listening experience.

The audio production of this story was clear and well done, there were no issues.
