Easy Death Bed

i'm not at all happy with the ending, but Easy not even hubby's Death, Gunny . . . obviously this is not the end of the story, for there are tons of other beds in need of jumping into. :-(

Complex Characters & Intriguing Plot

I liked the excellent design of each characters personality & motivations. You felt you knew & understood why they responded as they did without it being explained. The plot was rich & layered with no dull moments.

Not a typical ending

I am so pleased by this ending. It’s nice that a series I’ve enjoyed concludes without ticking all of the obvious boxes and setting up for unnecessary sequels.

This isn’t HEA all around. Harris has created characters who are changed by their experiences. They adapt and grow throughout the series, some together and some beyond each other.

I’m grateful for an author who trusts herself - and her readers’ imagination - to leave some things unexplored. Ms Harris, I look forward to reading whatever you come up with next.

I HATED the ending.

I love this series. Have read it multiple times. Been waiting not so patiently for this book to come out. Immediately reread the series and finished this book in a two days. And I am so disappointed by the ending. It’s just not how I expected the series to go. I equally hated the ending of Sookie’s series but I could get over it and love the series. I don’t like the Gunnie Rose series as much after reading this book. And I’m a huge Charlaine Harris fan, but this book was only for the first 75% and I wish it would have ended there.

A surprise shift

I have really enjoyed this series. I am grateful that it introduced me to Eva Kaminsky as narrator. I now look for her work but not often does an author let her loose with her talent. From the first book author and narrator gave us the unexpected experience.
It may be that the series end here, however, there is a possibility of a new shift or characters. I have liked most of Charlaine Harris's series but this one had the truly unexpected from the first book. The unique book without precedent in folklore or literary libraries makes it possible to simply find a new start to this story. I hope so and if not I really enjoyed this series.

Love all things Charlaine Harris!

This was a great final installment to the series. Sad and tragic that the alternate world couldn't avoid the big war, but Lizbeth knows what she does and doesn't want.

A lot of radical story line

The life choices of the top three main characters did not ring true to their characters as portrayed in previous books.

Complexity of an alternate history was delicious

Loved the strength of Felicia, and the enduring self-possession of Lizabeth Rose. Hoping there will be another book with the new lines.

Good story

I like this authors writing. She tells a straight forward story. Are relationships feel real with the trouble in the relationship are real. A created world that could really happen. Hope this is not the last book.
