Brilliant

Story is brill, characters too. Narrator is wonderful. Everything I’ve read or listened to by Mick Herron has been both excellent and unexpected.

good story really long.

I love the story, and the narration, but got lost at times due to all the detail. Maybe it's just me but I think it could be at least 2 hours shorter

Great author

I love this author's writing style. A bit of humor, some suspense, a respect for readers' intelligence. This series isn't as good as Slow Horses but it's interesting enough in its own right.

After the previous book, I thought this would be more about Sarah. But Zoe is quite a character and we do learn about Sarah's life. The narration was quite good. I look forward to the next book.

A bit of a disappointment from slow horses

I had such a high opinion of the plot, narration and character development from the slow horses series that this really seemed to pale in comparison.

Needs a good editor

I like Mick Herrons Slough House books, but this is too verbose and over written. At times I just wanted to shout ‘ get on with it’

This could be the last audible voice I hear from M Herron

Come on Mike, let's have more 'slow horses'.
This book was too wordy and slow.

Loved it!

As usual, Mick Heron’s writing is endlessly engaging - dark and intelligent - wonderfully matched by Anna Bentinck’s faultless performance! On to the next one!
