Publisher's summary

The Earth lies in ruins in the aftermath of an extraterrestrial invasion, the land devastated by a desperate war with no winners between mankind and a race of vicious, intelligent creatures. The seas are drying up while the atmosphere corrodes and slowly cooks any life remaining on the now desolate rock. Food is scarce, trust even more so, and the only people left alive all have done horrific things to stay that way.

Among the few survivors is Lucas, an ordinary man hardened by the last few years after the world's end. He's fought off bandits, murderers, and stranded creatures on his long trek across the country in search of his family, the one thing that drives him to outlive his dying planet. What he finds instead is hope, something thought to be lost in the world. There's a ship buried in a crater wall. One of theirs. One that works. To fly it, Lucas must join forces with a traitorous alien scientist and a captured, merciless raider named Asha. But unless they find common ground, all will die, stranded on a ruined Earth.

Combining gritty post-apocalyptic survival and epic space opera, The Last Exodus is the beginning of a new action-packed science fiction adventure where the future of the human race depends on its survivors leaving the past behind.

Great book!

Enjoyed every minute of it. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

After "reading" several duds in a row it was refreshing to stumble upon a new author who actually had a ORIGINAL story on the end of the world.

The Unobtainium is dumb beyond belief!

OMG the unobtainium used to motivate the conflict is stupid beyond belief! In reality the unobtainium is among the most abundant element in the universe!

A nice slice of Sci-Fi!

Wow! What a story! I normally read a bunch of fantasy but I wanted to take a bite out of some sci-fi so I grabbed this one on a lark. The first couple chapters were a little slow compared to the rest of the book however none of it is uninteresting. I like how the author got around explaining Advanced alien technology. I thought it was clever without walking down the reader with nonsense science things while still giving a believable explanation. you can kind of see the final Revelation coming if you really think about it, however it's not so obvious that it's distracting if you're just looking for a fun sci-fi story. I'm going to have to pick up the other two books in this trilogy so I can can see what happens with Noah, Alpha, Asha, and Lucas.

Fun

Think of it like a giant episode of star trek for your ears. It's got some elements of adventure science fiction that are appealing and pleasant. He does a good job of making the aliens mysterious and expressing the threat of them. But altogether is a pleasant read

Glad to listen to a great story and storytelling

I've long since gotten away from the intricacies of literature, but to put it plainly this is one of the best damn stories I've had the pleasure of experiencing in a long while. Mr. Tassi, keep up the great work, and I can't wait to listen to the next two episodes in this trilogy.

Exciting and well narrated

I couldn't stop listening. A wonderful story full of action (without being cliche) and an excellent narrator. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

A fun quick listen, nice scifi themed story merging alien invasion and post apocalyptic genres together along with some good old scifi action.

Pretty Good Book

A good story. I liked the way Paul Tassi revealed the characters back story through their dreams, or nightmares, depending on how you look at it. And as always. Victor Bevine always does an excellent job.
