The Las Vegas Madam: The Escorts, the Clients, the Truth takes you inside the life of a call girl as she spirals into a world of glamour and secrets and expose.

When a scandalous news story splashed across mainstream media about an elite escort agency in Las Vegas, people were shocked to learn there was a tiny mastermind behind the company: a small town girl from Oregon named Jami Rodman who went by the pseudonym Haley Heston.

Meet the secret society of high-end escorts and the men who hire them.

Discover the highly lucrative business of sex as Rodman reveals the hidden websites and layers of complex networking to satisfy man's endless desire for sex.

Timed with the 2007 collapse, Vegas cultivated a new, unprecedented class of call girls...ones with brains, beauty and savvy. Together with her agency, they cleaned up the soiled reputation of prostitution in Las Vegas.

Weathering competition from desperate, violent, and successful pimps and madams, hosting swanky parties, and serving clients in cities that spanned the globe, her agency ruled the oldest profession for several years until one of her star escorts, Olympian Suzy Favor Hamilton, canceled on a jealous and disgruntled client...he wrote an email at 2 AM to the online Smoking Gun. Haley Heston, the Las Vegas Madam, was outed.

The Las Vegas Madam is a provocative memoir of one girl's journey into prostitution and how quickly a fast-paced life built a wedge between her and the very thing she was seeking to begin with love, friendship and meaning. She replaces loneliness with companionship, both as a hired prostitute and recreationally.

What made the experience of listening to The Las Vegas Madam the most enjoyable?

Awesome look into the real world life of prostitution, not only in Vegas but the sex trade in general. Fantastic blend of real life struggles and erotic sexual encounters (don't listen to this book at work). Narration is REALLY great! Love, love loved this book!

it kept me wanting more, but also made me realize that girls can do this but it doesn't make it right or wrong to do. also doesn't mean there bad people but can be kind and loyal! I almost feel bad for her because anything or one that is always trapped and not able to make choices for their own while young is going to want to see what's out there in the real world! she seemed confused with her and life and she was good at it and it gave her confidence but I'm sure she's learned.. this book is a book that captures you right from the first word to the last...

I’ve read several memoirs about women who are either sex workers (including porn stars) or are sex addicts. The ones about sex workers tend to come across like selling a book is latest “hustle;” they brag about their lives and the lives of others at risk; tend to blame others for their situation; and they go through it all relatively consequence free. They definitely don’t spend any time discussing service to others.

This book was not that. Jamie, maybe unintentionally, came across as a smart and hardworking business person. I appreciated hearing about the nuts and bolts of the sex work business warts and all. She is conscientious and a caring person. She takes responsibility for her actions and has clearly grown spiritually from it.

Don’t get me wrong, it was raunchy as all hell. In fact, that was the part I didn’t like so much. I didn’t mind the detail, but in the attempt to sound titillating it came off sounding more like cheap erotica than a memoir. I also thought Jamie could have imparted more nuance and soul into the story has she narrated it herself. The actor reading it was mediocre. All her men voices were pretty much the same. And the “sexy” parts sounded so unsexy and wooden in her voice.

By the end of the book, I’m a fan of Jamie’s. You go girl! The true “hooker with a heart of gold” if you ask me!

Story of an industrious free spirit!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was graphic--the things she put up with to make money were sometimes disturbing. Even though that was her job, she made it clear that there were some extreme requests from clients that made her very uncomfortable.

INTENSE but good.
