It was a little slow for the beginning but I have liked her other books and continued on

great story based on history, very compelling

storytelling at its finest, I loved this book and the way it unfolded, I did not know anything about WaltervScott life so I went into it blind...loved it

The author writes with exceptional skill and beauty. The story is beautifully told and fully maintained my interest from beginning to end. It is a simple story but told with sensitivity and clarity.
