Arguably the most famous poem from Arthurian legend. Lords, ladies, anticipation, and isolation are all interwoven in this tale of longing and resignation. How will the Lady of Shallot be remembered? Classic literature narrated by Glenn Hascall.

I hope to find more of Tennyson's poems narrated, particularly by a good British narrator like this one. I grew up with a large gorgeous print in a wood frame of WaterHouse's Lady Of Shallot (where she is moving through her room and dress is tangled) with part of this poem written in calligraphy underneath. It has wonderfully haunted me for about 46 years.😊

Poem of my childhood beautifully narrated

One of Tennyson's best spoiled by a wooden and characterless narration. Very disappointing and a waste of money.
