Story
The Emerald Tablet is an ancient Egyptian work written by Hermes Trismegistus that is believed to represent a step-by-step instruction manual for the alchemical process of turning ordinary metals like lead into something much more valuable, like gold. The manual consists of 14 cryptic, symbolic statements that many have tried to decipher over the course of thousands of years. I believe the 14 statements of the Emerald Tablet to be a symbolic guide to a far greater treasure than the conversion of lead into gold.

Story
Since the beginning of time, humankind has pondered the meaning of life, the extension of life beyond this world, and the existence of a God or creator. The Hermetica is the second major work of the Ancient Egyptian philosopher Hermes Trismegistus, who is reported to have had an awakening during an extended period of meditation. During this awakening, Hermes, much like Jesus and Buddha later on, claims to have been exposed to the meaning of life, the presence of a world beyond this world, the existence of God, and the secret of our immortality.

The Tao Te Ching is easily one of the most cherished and beloved spiritual works in existence. It is a short, to the point, truly non-denominational work that has been translated into English more times than any other work but the Christian Bible. Lao Tzu’s teachings have the potential to transform your existence, and even your understanding of existence. This translation is a modern, simplified interpretation. One that updates the ancient language to a more modern understanding, yet without touching the spirit of Lao Tzu’s timeless work, or altering his guidance.

Story
The history of the tablets translated in the following book is strange and beyond the belief of modern scientists. Their antiquity is stupendous, dating back some 36,000 years. The writer is Thoth, an Atlantean Priest-King, who founded a colony in ancient Egypt after the sinking of the mother country. He was the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza, erroneously attributed to Cheops. In it he incorporated his knowledge of the ancient wisdom and also securely secreted records and instruments of ancient Atlantis.

Story
A must-listen for the progressive mind, The Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece was originally published under the pen name, Three Initiates, in 1908. It claims to have been based on the philosophy of Hermeticism, which became influential to the development of the New Age of Thought in the early 1900s. It is very similar to the advice offered by the Book of Proverbs in the Bible. The book is devoted to exploring seven principles centered around mentalism, correspondence, vibration, polarity, rhythm, causation and effect, and gender.

Scientists refer to the pineal gland as the atrophied third eye. Indeed, it, along with the pituitary, is the third eye chakra or energy center, but are more dormant than atrophied. According to Max Heindels, in the distant past, man was in touch with the inner worlds through an activated pineal and pituitary gland. Considered the most powerful and highest source of ethereal energy available to humans, the third eye has always been important in initiating psychic powers (e.g. clairvoyance and seeing auras). Manly traces the historical significance of the gland and its spiritual value.

Publisher's Summary
The Kybalion is probably the most controversial spiritual work of the 20th century. Its teachings are based on the works of Hermes, an ancient Egyptian philosopher. Like Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Socrates, and a few other philosophical and religious founders, Hermes is said to have received his knowledge in a vision during a period of deep concentration.
During his “awakening", Hermes claimed to have been exposed to the truth of the world, how it works, and what lies beyond. He believed that he had experienced "the soul of the universe”. The Kybalion is a categorization and explanation of the seven main laws of life, as expressed to Hermes during his vision.
Legend has it that these laws have been passed down in secret for centuries from teacher to students considered ready for the information, much like Jesus’s passing on of inner knowledge only to his closest disciples. The initial publishing of The Kybalion by The Three Initiates is reported to be the first time the general public has had access to these inner teachings.
The seven laws of The Kybalion will sound familiar to many, for they are the underlying themes of this existence. But learning the exact significance and meaning of these laws has been a closely guarded secret for millennia. A secret that, once understood, has the potential to transform your life and your understanding of life. The immediate effect of the teachings is believed to be an enhanced ability to live a better life, in all areas of concern. The long-term effect is an evolution of consciousness and awareness toward higher and higher levels.
In the Bible, it is said that Adam fell into a deep sleep. Nowhere does it ever say that he woke up. An “awakening” that carries us beyond our current level of cognition and perception is the ultimate goal of the teachings of The Kybalion.
“We know what we are, but know not what we may be.” (Shakespeare)

Rephrasing original book & Asking higher price
This title rephrases the book The Kybalion. Often using wording very similar to the wording of the original title.
This title is neither substantially commenting on the original title nor expanding it nor clarifying it.
This is because the original Kybalion already is clear, concise, and easy to understand. Also, the original is available in various, way less expensive editions.
At the time of writing, there are 23 reviews on audible.com. All of them with 5-stars. Many are one-liners, most of them very short and without substantial meaning - and without referring to the actual contents of this title, which supposedly contrasts the original. Essentially, these reviews communicate: "I read this book and feel good." I doubt that these reviews are organic.
This title is 5 hours long: 1 hour spent on a rather useless Introduction and Dedication.
In my eyes, this title about making a profit by offering a "101" introduction by riding piggyback on the original.
