A truly stellar effort

This is a novel that, as soon as you finish reading it, you will begin pining for the sequel. It kept me riveted from the first page. A young gay romance starts to blossom on the first day of senior year between the high school quarterback and a new kid who can't get past the school's security buffer. The new kid arrived in town the previous night, a circumstance that might get the reader wondering what the kid's mother might be hiding from. But to the main character, it's just another sudden move in a lifetime of such adventures, ever since his father died when he was 3 years old. It's a coming of age story, a gay romance, a mystery and a cult horror story beautifully woven into one by a first-time author. It's stunning.
