Publisher's Summary

In books 1 and 2 of the Chiveis Trilogy, The Sword and The Gift, Teo and Ana find the Old and New Testaments, which had been lost for centuries. Their discoveries lead to new friendships and renewed faith within a small band of men and women working to spread the knowledge of the one true God. But now an ancient pact has united enemies of the Christian faith. Through the discovery of a powerful military technology, this dark alliance now threatens to consume the known world. Teo and Ana learn of the nefarious plot, and against overwhelming odds race to stay one step ahead of their enemies, traversing stormy seas, dangerous cities, and smoldering volcanoes. As armies begin to mass for a final battle, the odds seem to favor the forces of evil, and Teo and Ana will have to fight for faith when all hope has been lost.

In the final book of the Chiveis Trilogy, Litfin takes listeners on a journey filled with peril, faraway lands, and adventure. Men and women alike will enjoy the fast-paced narrative, imaginative plot, and vivid descriptions of this master storyteller.

The Kingdom: Chiveis Trilogy, Book 3

This is a GREAT book. It is Christian fiction at the highest level! I'm not really fond of fantasy novels and I chose this book because of the good reviews, nevertheless, it deserves the 5 star rating. It is fast paced and full! I especially like the way the author handled situations in relationships which could have turned out to be compromising. I think teenagers as well as adults will enjoy this volume.

Enjoyable, but

Would you try another book from Bryan M. Litfin and/or Ray Porter?

Yes, I really liked the first two books. This book was not as good but the closure of the story was needed.

Would you recommend The Kingdom to your friends? Why or why not?

I have recommended the series. So yes I would recommend the Kingdom. With the notice it isn't as good as the rest.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. the first 2 books in the serires

Did The Kingdom inspire you to do anything?

I have started getting books of the same theme and story line. Religious, Apocalyptic, thought provoking. personal evaluation...

Any additional comments?

With the world going down the path it is going this series hits really close to the soul.

The kingdom chive is trilogy

Best trilogy I have ever read. Wow to the narrative you kept the words alive, many times my emotions were up and down. I was living this adventure as I herd the story. I hope soon another trilogy will continue the new beginning.

Intricate storyline with dynamic characters

The third instalment of the Chiveis Trilogy continues the exciting adventures of Ana and Teo in their quest to bring the Good News to their homeland. I appreciated how the author spun seemingly unimportant details in previous books to add significance to the storyline. This tying up of loose ends made for a satisfying resolution. This novel is enhanced through the narrator's on-point performance.
On a personal note, following the main characters struggle to achieve what I have always taken for granted, such as freedom of religion and an abundance of biblical resources, caused me to reevaluate my blessings and be reinvigorated in my faith.

motivating,

The book was well written and help my attention though I did not love all the references to alcohol. There was too much of that. Had I been struggling to get out of alcoholism, this would have been a stumbling block for me. that being said I lived the characters, ' discipline to abstain and listen to the Lord. I loved how they overcame adversity, fear, lies, the flesh, the enemy of our Lord, the temptations, and all the adversities of the world.

Masterfully Crafted Story

This was not just a good story. It was a masterfully crafted work of art. I highly recommend to anyone. As the last words were spoken, I thought to myself that it's been many years since I've enjoyed a story as much as I did the Chiveis Trilogy.

pretty good

Interesting story concept, enjoyed the narration. I'm all for suspending belief, but they narrowly escape death too often for my taste.

Chiveis Triogy

What made the experience of listening to The Kingdom the most enjoyable?

It is a fast pace series in through out, with the exception of a few slow areas. I enjoyed the whole series and would rather buy and listen to all of the books instead of waiting for another book to come out. There are times that things are repeated to much but overall I liked it.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed the narration of Mr. Porter and will listen to him again. In fact listening right now to another book his is doing.

Any additional comments?

I wish the author had or is going to do more books.
