Acerca de esta escucha
Police arrest a hot-blooded Gulf War veteran with a big mouth and a propensity for trouble named Matthew Wolf, a Crow Indian. Wolf's family comes to private investigator Phoebe Siegel for help. But she turns them down - until the body of a young Indian man shows up virtually in her backyard. Phoebe begins an investigation that takes her from the comfort and security of her world and onto the Crow reservation where the color of her skin makes her the enemy.

Grave Robber
I listened to and liked the book, When Wallflowers Die, so took a chance on another story by Sandra West Powell. I liked this one less, the reason being how the reader voiced some of the minor characters. Harsh and too loud. However, Phoebe's and Kyle''s voices were just right. I enjoyed the story as the Native American theme interests me, and the reality of cultural artifacts being bought and sold to the wealthy in Europe, or any where, is unforgivable. The victim in this story was also a victimizer. The plot is sometimes difficult to follow, but overall the story deserves three stars.

So disappointing!!!
What disappointed you about The Killing of Monday Brown?
I listened to When Wallflowers Die by SW Powell and really enjoyed the story, characters, etc. - enough to go back and order an earlier work. It was bad. Almost not finish it bad.
Has The Killing of Monday Brown turned you off from other books in this genre?
No but probably won't be buying any more from Sandra West Powell
Would you be willing to try another one of Susie Breck’s performances?
I'm not sure. I think her performance was part of the problem - unless she also did When Wallflowers Die which I really enjoyed.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Killing of Monday Brown?
Anytime the author wrote "She/He laughed" (and she wrote it a lot!!) and the performer actually tried to laugh, giggle, chortle, etc - it drove me nuts.
