I really liked this audiobook because it helped me see my home and my things in a more peaceful way. It teaches how to talk with family about the future with kindness and honesty, which I found comforting. The advice on setting up legal and financial plans is clear and thoughtful. As a busy person with too much clutter, it inspired me to start letting go of what I don’t need. I felt calmer and lighter after listening, almost like I made more space both in my home and in my mind. I highly recommend this book, especially if you feel you can't do it. You can!

My wife is a pack rat, so I was hoping for some relief, but what was offered was something more profound. The idea of Swedish death cleaning reframed my stuff as stories, priorities, and love—not just clutter. I appreciated the gentle, practical guidance for sorting with intention, keeping what truly matters, and letting go without guilt. It helped me create calmer spaces while also thinking about the legacy I want to leave my kids. I finished motivated, lighter, and surprisingly at peace.

Clutter No More

I listened to this while slowly tackling my own clutter, and it completely shifted how I think about letting things go. Instead of feeling heavy or morbid, the message feels thoughtful and even comforting. It’s really about intention, clarity, and making life easier for yourself and the people you love. The tone is calm and encouraging, not pushy or judgmental. I found myself pausing often to actually take action, which says a lot. It made decluttering feel meaningful instead of overwhelming.

Gentle motivation to let go

This book is great for learning how to declutter your home so when you pass, your family will not have to go through everything and decide what to keep and what to toss. Swedish Death Cleaning focuses on easing this burden on your loved ones. It focuses on keeping functional items, not every item that brings joy. The book teaches how to create an environment that supports our well-being. I have seen people that have had to clean out a parent's house and it took months and months because it was too emotional for them to throw away items that reminded them of their parents. It was overwhelming and emotionally exhausting. This book helps ease this unneeded stress by teaching how to declutter before you leave this emotional distress to your loved ones. I will definitely be following these steps in my own home.

Great Book to Help Declutter!
