I am the reason this book was written! I needed it

I really liked this audiobook because it helped me see my home and my things in a more peaceful way. It teaches how to talk with family about the future with kindness and honesty, which I found comforting. The advice on setting up legal and financial plans is clear and thoughtful. As a busy person with too much clutter, it inspired me to start letting go of what I don’t need. I felt calmer and lighter after listening, almost like I made more space both in my home and in my mind. I highly recommend this book, especially if you feel you can't do it. You can!

This book is great for learning how to declutter your home so when you pass, your family will not have to go through everything and decide what to keep and what to toss. Swedish Death Cleaning focuses on easing this burden on your loved ones. It focuses on keeping functional items, not every item that brings joy. The book teaches how to create an environment that supports our well-being. I have seen people that have had to clean out a parent's house and it took months and months because it was too emotional for them to throw away items that reminded them of their parents. It was overwhelming and emotionally exhausting. This book helps ease this unneeded stress by teaching how to declutter before you leave this emotional distress to your loved ones. I will definitely be following these steps in my own home.
