Familiar story

The hardest part about listening to this book, was not crying at work while listening to it.

We serve such a merciful God. And even through the times that we don’t serve Him like we should, His mercy never fails.

While my story isn’t quite that of Brother Booker’s, there are many similarities. So many times have I turned from Him and from His drawing of the Spirit. And yet when I seek Him…I find Him.

Wonderful book

I loved everything about the book. God is our help and will deliver us from anything if we will give our life to him and trust him. That was proven in this book. When Larry Booker made up his mind to surrender himself to God he became what God wanted him to be.

Captivating!! A MUST READ!!

This book is exactly that..."Captivating!!!" The author carries you to the heart of the hippie era, the 60's, where he relives the moments before his conversion to christianity. It shows the life of a young man who is caught between God's will and his own. He's constantly reaching for God, yet reaching for a pistol to shoot a tin can, off one of his friends heads. He makes promises to God, and continues to break them...time and time again, Yet God continues to reach forth his mighty hand of mercy....in some pretty mind boggling ways....The heroin injection for instance.
If you're looking for the ultimate story of triumph and victory, this it the book for you! Plan to read all the way through without putting it down!...It's that good!!

Unparalleled!

I would say that of all books that might help an individual fully grasp the love and mercy our God, Christ Jesus, has for us this one takes the cake. The author takes you on a journey that communicates perfectly the compassion of our mighty God in Christ. My new favorite book.

Sincerely a must read & listen

This story by Brother Booker is more than a simple story. It’s a testimony of God’s everlasting goodness to us.

As an Apostolic myself, when I got my hands on this book a few years ago, I hadn’t finished it but it sincerely inspired me.

Years later I hear that I’m able to listen on audible during a few months after finally being afforded the privilege of meeting Brother Booker in person. It has been a rough season.. but the sincerity and innocence you hear of Brother Booker’s experience is truly inspiring, and reminds me of my coming to God.

I pray to never lose my wonder for Him. Thank you Brother Booker for writing a masterpiece!
