The Journey into Truth Part 3 with Dr Bishop Bill Hanshew and Brian Christian

  • Resumen

  • Isaiah 11:2 (NKJV) says, “2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” ● In Isaiah 11 we read about the 7-Spirits of God that point to the perspective of the mind of Christ. Knowledge leads to wisdom, and wisdom leads to understanding, but it all comes down to the intentions of the heart, or mind, behind the pursuit that reveals truth as liberty. ● Isaiah 11:2 (TPT) says, “2 the Spirit of Yahweh {or, the Spirit of Prophecy} will rest upon him, the Spirit of Extraordinary Wisdom {or, the Spirit of Skillfulness}, the Spirit of Perfect Understanding {or, the Spirit of Intelligent Insight} the Spirit of Wise Strategy {or, the Spirit of Guidance}, the Spirit of Mighty Power {or, the Spirit of a Mighty Warrior}, the Spirit of Revelation {or, the Spirit of Knowledge}, and the Spirit of the Fear {or, the Spirit of Reverence} of Yahweh.” ● The Spirit of Yahweh is the Spirit of prophecy, or His manifest presence resting upon Him, and His creation. In the Hebrew culture, to say “the Spirit of Yahweh rests upon” someone meant the Spirit of prophecy was upon them. ● It is said that “the Spirit of Skillfulness” gives equipping ability for music, art, business, writing, creativity, and wisdom for judicial decisions. Paul prayed for the churches to receive this “Spirit of wisdom” as He taught in Ephesians 1:17-19. ● When we talk of “the Spirit of Intelligent Insight,” this imparts the ability to discern the truth, to know the meaning of riddles, and to decipher parables and allegories. ● Knowledge leads to wisdom, and wisdom leads to understanding, but it all comes down to the intentions of the heart, or mind, behind the pursuit that reveals truth as liberty. ● When talking about “the Spirit of Guidance,” it is important to understand the Hebrew word ʿēṣâ {āte–săw’} which is used numerous times in the Old Testament for “counsel, advice, or purpose.” It is also used for steering (guiding) a ship. This anointing imparts the wisdom and counsel needed for spiritual leadership. ● Also, the concept of knowledge is not that which is learned from books or study, but this knowledge is that which comes from experiencing intimacy with God. This is a part of the Journey INTO Truth. ● When my intentions are to pursue truth is from a place of lack and loss, that truth will justify self-preservation and will create barriers from receiving the rest of the truth that sets you free. It is not just about what you believe, but why you believe it that reveals the purpose of pursuit. ● The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth, which speaks of a journey in which we should stay clear of absolutes or conclusions that tempt us to exalt ourselves into an ultimate place of arrival. While we as spirit-beings know all things and have arrived from the end to the beginning, our human-experience is purposefully on a journey of discovery. ● Isaiah 26:3 (TPT) says, “Perfect, absolute peace surrounds {or, watches over} those whose imaginations {or, steadfast mind} are consumed with you; they confidently trust in you.” ● For the phrase, “steadfast mind,” the Hebrew uses the word yēṣer {yāht’–sĕrdd} meaning “imagination” but comes from the word yāṣar {yăwt–sĕrdd’} meaning to fashion or to squeeze into share. This is what it means to form and frame up the mind by tapping into one’s supernatural imagination. ● The fact is that our imagination had been set apart by God and for God as holy. It seems to me that the imagination, both good and bad, has been a frequent concept throughout the Bible. What we are learning about are the pitfalls of doublemindedness and presumptuous-opinions that hold the truth captive within our ego, causing us to evade the real revelation of the Christ-mind within. We are discovering how easy it is to walk out truth by grace, especially when we understand the contradictions and supposed failures we encounter along the way, when we attempt to establish truth through the wrong lens.
