What is consciousness, and can it survive without a physical brain?

Can we remember our past lives?

Do near-death experiences prove immortality?

How does reincarnation really work?

I thorough and illuminating treatment of the subject

Rabbi DovBer Pinson brings together every area of Jewish tradition to formulate a comprehensive understanding of Life and beyond. Besides being an amazing erudite, his ability to elucidate the complex is astounding. This masterwork is further enhanced by the clear reading of Shlomo Zacks who obviously understands the material. His Elizabethan English further grants the material a sense of gravitas.

Great but...

I loved this book however the narrator talked too fast. I had to change the speed of play. This in not the type of book that you can go through fast. I really wish it was more mindfully presented. I will go back and listen again just to see what I missed. It has a lot of information; I wish I got the kindle version with it.

Well researched, thoughtful and enriching

What a wonderfully well researched and comprehensive book on life after life! I’ve learnt so much and now it’s left me yearning to learn more. Terms and concepts are explained in a thoughtful manner which doesn’t assume the listener/reader is a scholar. Many of the concepts discussed were familiar to me, but certainly not in detail and this book provided that detail in an accessible and comprehendible manner. I found this book quite affirming and comforting (although I appreciate that not everyone wants to talk about what happens after this life on earth). The concepts discussed in this book have given meaning to things that have happened and also inspired me to be more mindful in my present life about my own actions and for those in the next life. I will be looking for more books by Rav DovBer Pinson - thank you for writing this book. A note on the narrator, Shlomo Sacks: The narrator is very easy to listen to, doesn’t speak too fast and has a nice accent which is a pleasure to listen to. This is the second book narrated by Shlomo Sacks I’ve listened to. I’ll be looking for more, just because he is so easy to listen to. Highly recommended. Thank you!
