"There may be no more important listen regarding the fate of the nation's democracy than this historical record."- AudioFile

"This fact-based accounting of the events of January 6, 2021, is one of the essential historical documents of this era. The thoughtful presentation of this audio edition makes it accessible to a wider audience."- Library Journal

This program includes a preface read by David Remnick, the editor of The New Yorker, and an epilogue read by Congressman Jamie Raskin.

Celadon Books and The New Yorker present the report by the Select Committee to Investigate the Jan 6 Attack on the United States Capitol.

On January 6, 2021, insurgents stormed the U.S. Capitol, an act of domestic terror without parallel in American history, designed to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power. In a resolution six months later, the House of Representatives called it "one of the darkest days of our democracy," and established a special committee to investigate how and why the attack happened.

Celadon Books, in collaboration with The New Yorker, presents the committee's final report, the definitive account of January 6th and what led up to it, based on more than a year of investigation by nine members of Congress and committee staff with a preface by David Remnick, the editor of The New Yorker and a winner of the Pulitzer Prize.

January 6 Report

Brilliantly connected all of the dots that were the testimonies and documents received, and turned them into an easily followed account of exactly how Donald Trump had a vast variety of plans in place as part of the coup to eliminate the transition of power, and to stay in office. There’s a lot of information, but they did a great job of tying it all together and breaking it down into sections that show the interconnections of the grand plan.

Well done.

A special acknowledgement and words of gratitude to Jamie Raskin for his brilliant and inspiring epilogue!
I wish for our Country that this report be required reading or listening in every high school, college and university.

The people who could defend J6 actions or put forth an alternative narrative either didn’t cooperate or plead the fifth. What is left is a damning and convincing indictment of Trump and his enablers.

Shockingly thorough and damning

I mean, what is more important than the safety of our democracy? I appreciate the ability to listen to this report, as there is small chance I would read it in physical book format. Watched all the hearings on TV, but this report adds new details and lots of new names to the list of anti-democratic actors in our government. Highly recommend!

Must listen for American citizens

I very much enjoyed listening to this report. I have a better understanding as to how our government works and how money and power can corrupt our democracy.

How lies and deceit can corrupt.
