Publisher's Summary
A spooky carnival. A Haunted House that isn’t what it seems. A dangerous truth waiting to be uncovered.
Something terrible is haunting Dylan Wylde; an ominous figure in the woods that could ruin his life forever.
Just when he thinks things can’t get worse, a strange carnival comes to town, and something dark lurks behind its bright twinkling lights. Something sinister. Something that has the ghosts of Weirdbey Island seriously spooked.
Phantoms run rampant as a dastardly plot unfolds, one that will push Dylan and his friends to their limits. Can they face their deepest fears and strike back before the wicked forces plunge the island into eternal darkness?
For listeners who love Middle Grade ghost stories, small town adventures, murky mysteries, and strange, spooky carnivals.

Stranger Things fans will love this book!
The Island Scaregrounds
A Middle Grade Ghost Story (Weirdbey Island, Book 3)
By: Eldritch Black
Narrated by: J. Scott Bennett
This series does not disappoint! This time on the Island, our gang is dealing with ghosts and evil carnival people. Needing money, they are offered a job to catch ghosts. They agree but they only know part of the story. Things get dicey once they learn more!
A lot of craziness goes on in this book and Dylan's big brother plays a part of his problems this time. Ghosts and carnival people are the biggest part! There are plenty of humor, suspense, decisions of right and wrong to struggle with, and fighting evil! There is action, friendships, trust, and following your conscience in here too!
The characters are well written and the plot unpredictable and clever! Witty dialogue and fun capers rivaling Stranger Things (and I am a big fan of the show)! I would love to see this book series on TV! This is made for middle grade kids but I am in my 60's and find them extremely humorous and well done! They are not as dark as Harry Potter and have more humor than the Potter series too.
The narrator is truly a gem! Various voices and perfect performance in all three books! A perfect person for these books!
I requested and received this book from the author. Thanks! The review is my own opinion.

Another great Weirdbey Island book
Excellent story and even better narration!
J Scott Bennett is an excellent voice for this series.
This book stands alone. It is not necessary to listen to the previous books first. But you really should listen to the first two books!
You can read the synopsis in the description so I will not repeat that information.
I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

entertaining
What an evil bully Jamie was to his brother Dylan. I liked that Dylan got the last laugh. A goid deed to ghosts benefits Dylan, and more evil (Molly) is dealt with nicely. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Goosebumps type tales
The stories within this book remind me of the Goisebumps books and show. The stories are well written and my son was enthralled. The narrator J. Scott Bennett did a fantastic job with all the voices and sound effects. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Goosebumps.
