The bits with The Sadist made this worth it. I have the actual book but listening to all of them has been a treat for me.

reader is obnoxious

The story ties in perfectly with the rest of the Dark Jewels series. Talon is a character I was pleasantly surprised to get more backstory on. The reader however is incredibly obnoxious with his attempts at voices. Would have been better if he'd read it monotoned.

Her world is beautiful, sexy and emotionally heroic.

Anne Bishops jewels books are all just amazing! I can't imagine anyone not enjoying them. I read/listen to the Jewels Trilogy every other year. Her world is just outstanding and her writing is somehow beautiful and desperate while all the while being strong and demanding. I guarantee you will enjoy them!!

A great sife-story in the Dark Jewels saga

This was excellently constructed and executed. A mad dash story that had enough twists to keep me guessing until the end.
