Acerca de esta escucha
Brought to you by Penguin.
We live under an ideology that preys on every aspect of our lives: our education and our jobs; our healthcare and our leisure; our relationships and our mental wellbeing; even the planet we inhabit – the very air we breathe. So pervasive has it become that, for most people, it has no name. It seems unavoidable, like a natural law.
But trace it back to its roots, and we discover that it is neither inevitable nor immutable. It was conceived, propagated, and then concealed by the powerful few. It is time to bring it into the light - and, in doing so, to find an alternative worth fighting for.

Easy to follow essay on the history of neoliberalism and its impacts
This is a comprehensive, concise and well-written account from the creation story of neoliberalism up to the present day increase in inequality and rise of the far right. Very well voiced by one of the co-authors. Very listenable and enjoyable, with real insights, whatever your views.

A must read
A book I will re-read. Clear and articulate. Required reading for engaged citizens and anyone studying economics.

Authentic and lucid
Being read by one of the co-authors, this was a fascinating overview of the doctrine we can now observe taking over our society. The establishing of a percentage required to reach a tipping point where activism can gain traction is encouraging and should be widely amplified. An excellent read.

Scared of itself
A concise and vivid description and critique of the status quo ideology, that is deathly afraid of clearly communicating its own conclusion. Or maybe a desperate attempt of disseminating socialist ideas without alienating people with the "scary words" of marxist political philosophy.
