Great podcast on IF

I have listened to 48 of the podcasts so far. Both hosts are interesting and knowledgeable. They have really helped me along my fasting journey. Although they both support the basics, it’s nice to hear two different perspectives. Now, I’m listening to their audio books. Thank you Gin and Melanie!

Worth a listen

Came across this podcast several months into my IF journey. It has been some great information. However, while Gin Stephens seems very knowledgeable and easy to relate to, Melanie Avalon reminds me of those intensely obsessive girls in high school who just wanted to be skinny. I binge listened to the first 50 episodes and quickly became irritated with Melanie, often to the point I wish she would just stop going off on her ‘tangents’ and focus on the darn topic of the episode.
More importantly, she makes IF sound unhealthy whereas Gin focuses on BEING healthy and listening to your body. Melanie seems to be interested in trying every fad thing that hits the market, loads herself up with tons of different vitamins, experimental diet restrictions and topical enhancements. Yet in listening to her journey, while the IF lifestyle seems to have had a positive effect on Gin, the exact opposite can be said of the other host. She now suffers from major gut issues and low blood sugar and ‘all the stuff’.
This podcast, if you listen to Gin, can give you some great insight. If you listen to Melanie, you will become an UNHEALTHY IFer. Maybe think of her as what NOT to do?
