AI voice is unlistenable

I have been eager to finish this book since picking up a hard copy a few years ago but have never had the time to do so. I was excited to see it on Audible and decided to try and listen to it. I did not realize when I started it that this copy is “read” by a virtual voice. Listening to a soulless voice read a divinely inspired book about becoming closer to God was too much irony to take. I had to stop and find copy that was truly narrated by a human with a soul. Additionally this translation could also be AI. I could not definitively figure out if it is but the introduction to each mansion is very repetitive and sounds like AI writing. Forgive me if I’m wrong about that but either way I do not recommend this copy. Do St. Theresa justice and listen to a different version. The stars this version receives is only because it is St. Theresa’s work.
