In the spring of 1933, more than 8,000 Jewish musicians, actors, and other artists were expelled from their positions with German orchestras, opera companies, and theater groups. Later that year, the Jüdische Kulturbund, or Jewish Culture Association, was created to allow Jewish artists to perform for Jewish audiences.

Here is the riveting and emotional story of Gunther Goldschmidt and Rosemarie Gumpert, two courageous Jewish musicians who struggled to perform under unimaginable circumstances and found themselves falling in love in a country bent on destroying them. A poignant testament to the enduring vitality of music and love even in the harshest times, The Inextinguishable Symphony gives us a compelling look at an important piece of Holocaust history that has gone largely untold.

SO IT MAY NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!!
Beautifully written and narrated by Mr. Martin Goldsmith, the author.
I have read many books about the Holocaust, but not a book that describes Germany and the life of the Jews in the 1930’s prior to WWII, under the Nazis.
If you are a lover of classical music, I highly recommend checking the app, “Berlin Philharmonics”
You can find the music pieces mentioned in the book performed by the orchestra. It is such a treat to see the different musicians play their instruments up close, which you can never see when you go to a life performance.
I highly recommend listening to this wonderfully written history.
My thanks to all involved for making this book available to us, JK.

This is my first experience in Audiobooks, and I have chosen the best in the inextinguishable symphony by Martin Goldsmith, as the author and the reader of the book I totally enjoyed from start to finish, not knowing much about the holocaust in his words, he explained into the find job

Fantastic

This was wonderful. Usually Holocaust stories leave me depressed but this was a story that I had never heard before and the music was very uplifting. I plan to listen to it again. Another plus was that the author was the reader and his voice was pleasant ….gave the experience a whole other level. Also well researched. And I must disagree with those who thought parts were too long…I was totally immersed in the experience ✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️
