Brenda O’Rourke invested $10 million in a pharmaceutical start-up lead by Dr. Arthur Everly. Everly says he has reversed the aging process turning eighty-year-olds into fifty-year-olds. But he has not given O’Rourke any details on the process or patented anything so she cannot protect her investment. O’Rourke hires Jack English, an Atlantic City lawyer, to see whether he can really reverse aging, and if so, to document the process and protect her investment.
Pharmadyne, a large pharmaceutical company, is in trouble. The patents on its two major products are going to expire. When they do, generic drug companies will take their customers. The solution; hire Dr. Everly away from O’Rourke and patent the age reversal process for itself. The problem is that some of Everly’s staff know how to reverse aging. Pharmadyne does not want any competition; the pharmaceuticals business can be murder.
