Acerca de esta escucha
Set in a land of shifting realities - the Western Cape coast of South Africa, between Nature's paradise and a ruthless world - and based on the heartbreaking true story of a human-animal bond, this magical journey reveals how one powerful girl, with her enigmatic cat and the wild creatures who are her constant guides, joins in the ultimate adventure to unlock the mystery of the invisible world.
Main characters Pippa A natural born leader who joins forces with wild creatures and natural scientists, long dead, to unlock the mystery of the invisible world. She seeks knowledge.
Piu Piu An experiment, a catalyst - and the happiest orphan on earth until the unthinkable destroys her mundane world. She seeks freedom.
Charlot The shadow, hunter, killer - he's always there, right behind you - so be warned: he's ruthless in a ruthless world. He wants food.
About this novel We all know about the surge of interest in the survival of consciousness after death as millions of baby boomers face their own mortality. All this is reflected in popular TV shows and movies as well as trailblazing videos on the Web. The fact is that life's fast pace and our personal fears often keep us from addressing the most important existential questions, which can cost us our emotional well-being, happiness, and health. This is where this enchanting tale, with its unique perspective, fills the gap.
In essence a love story, this magical realism novel is one of those books that you don't just like but is deeply meaningful to you - books you love, keep, and pass on to your kids.

Difficult to rate
Any additional comments?
I feel the author is really trying to convey this deeper than words story, but I'm just not sure if I can/can't understand the deeper meaning, or... there just really isn't one. The narrator is fine for a while but the whisper sound with the accent would just lose me sometimes. The story is okay I guess, characters are likable .
I find inspiration from books like Ishmael or Bassam and the Seven Secret Scrolls. I don't think this was bad in any way, but it was difficult for me to get through.

I couldn't get all the way through it
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I like what I heard of the story but the narration was difficult to listen to. I probably would have enjoyed it if it had been read by someone else. Bianca reads this book in what sounds to me like an extra loud whisper or like she is telling a secret she is excited about. It was very distracting for me.
Would you recommend The Immortal Life of Piu Piu: A Magical Journey Exploring the Mystery of Life After Death to your friends? Why or why not?
No, because I couldn't keep listening to it myself.
Would you be willing to try another one of Bianca Gubalke’s performances?
No
Do you think The Immortal Life of Piu Piu: A Magical Journey Exploring the Mystery of Life After Death needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I couldn't say because I didn't get to the end of this one.
Any additional comments?
The story was interesting so if you don't have an issue with the narration this would probably be a good listen. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Beautiful
I found this book beautifully imaginative and creative. The imagery is so wonderful. The story is unique and the characters are solid and interesting. I really enjoyed it.
This book is narrated by the author, which in my experience tends to be a bad sign. However I enjoyed the narration. It's just a beautiful book overall.
