Great overview of the organ systems.

I'm not a student anymore, but I wanted to set out with the goal of learning as much as I can about the body and how it works. This was a great start. What I couldn't get past was all of the religious references that celebrated the wonder of how complex the body is.

Ridiculous

Bought without realizing it was a creationism based science book. Horrible if you want to pass a true science class.

God wants you to be impressed

The biology is quite well explained but there are frequent reminders that it's all done by 'God' and you should be impressed, indeed amazed at what he's done. They forgot to credit the bearded man for cancer though which seems a little hypocritical.

Well worth avoiding.
