The Housekeeper's Proposal

Barbara Goss has delivered another well written story. This story brings a bit of mystery and suspense as there is a murder to be solved. After entering into a loveless, forced marriage, Helen Walker is murdered... but did her new husband do it?

I thoroughly enjoyed Roberto Scarlato's narration.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Sweet and Clean with a twist of Murder!

Barbara Goss is an author whom I've listened to and enjoy her writing style. So far, this book by her is my favorite. The story is a clean listen set in the 1800's that has a christian base, but includes a murder mystery. The story has heartbreak, revenge, love and vindication. I loved how this book flowed and had unexpected twists. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I leave the synopsis up to the professionals as they are much more eloquent. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Clever who done it

As usual, Barbara Goss has written an impressive story that kept me enthralled to the very end. I just had to find out the who and the why of the murder but was kept guessing throughout.
There are so many twists and turns in this story and thank goodness they all come together to answer to your question, "who was the murderer?"
Of course there is a blossoming romance and I had to find out what would happen with that too.
I also enjoyed the narration by Roberto Scarlato and his voice acting is that good that one knows exactly which character is talking without having to think about it.
An audiobook version was provided by the author at no cost and this is my honest and unbiased review.

Any additional comments?

This book was a great weekend read.

It was filled with mystery and a bit of romance.

There were several twists and turns but fortunately has a happy ending.

Mr Scarlato did well with the navigation.

misconceptions

This was a heart wrenching story of a woman torn between loyalty to her brother or the man she loves. When she makes the wrong choice and finds her brother has done something terrible she can only hope the one she loves will forgive her. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.

Good Mystery

How could Kate take the job, thinking he was a killer. Fate had other plans and she fell in love. Time to clear the sheriff’s name and find who did it, Good characters, and good mystery. Good narration of which I was given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Great Story!

This is the fourth book in the Heroes of Hays Series, and I haven't read the first books in the Series. In fact, this was my first Barbara Goss's book, and won't be the last. Jeremy and Kate are both great characters. The secondary characters are also interesting. The storyline is well built, really interesting, fast-paced, and intriguing, filled with suspense, and twists and turns. I love the ending. This is a really great story. The narration is really well done, as always with Roberto Scarlato. This was a fun listen, and I enjoyed my listening. I'm looking forward for more books written by Barabara Goss, and narrated by Roberto Scarlato. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
