1st audiobook experience

I was so intrigued by this story! It was my first experience but not my last!

He got a dose of his own medicine

Jaye Colfax found out that what is good for the goose is good for the gander the hard way and almost too late. His no relationship with sex only almost cost him the only woman he loved. He let what happened to his parents control how he felt about women.

After being in a going nowhere fast relationship with Jaye, Velvet wanted more and deserved more, so she did the only thing she could do to preserve her heart, she disappeared. Jaye realized he messed up royally and was determined to win her heart back. But first, he had to find her and develop a plan. At first, Velvet thought he was manipulating her but when she found out what ALL he'd done, she quickly realized he had really changed.

The town's folk of the Cove, sure were a bunch of nosey busybodies, tending to everybody's business. That Webb Crawford and his sister are a bunch of snotty entitled privileged a-holes. Velvet had a good reason to keep her relationship with Jaye on-the-undercover. But in the end, Jaye was making the effort to do what it took to get her heart and love again.

The narrator, Ron Butler has a beautiful voice that made the story come to life. He was excellent with a feminine voice without overdoing it as well as that wonderful baritone he used for the main character. I could listen to him talk all day

I have read all of Brenda Jackson’s Catalina Cove series and this is by far my favorite. Ron Butler is an excellent narrator and he really brings the story to life. This is a must listen you will not regret it.

Jaye and Velvet's story at last!

When I read about Sierra and Vaughn's story I felt that there was a story with Velvet and when Vaughn was asked about her when he visited Phoenix by Jaye, I knew their story would be forth coming! Love, love lost, misunderstandings, snobbery and a penchant to be more than they turned out to be by some of the Catalina Cove officials is what Velvet was finally met by once the nosy people in the Cove put Jaye's personal purchase business in the street. Thus giving those who felt they were above Velvet to come at her and get put in their place in a way they never expected. I enjoyed the story and the narration by Ron Butler was very good and what I have come to expect from him as a narrator! As usual, Mrs. Jackson has penned another best seller in the book and the audiobook. I so enjoy her work and have her other novels coming out this year on pre-order! Another great Catalina Cove novel that I thoroughly enjoyed!

How all of the books are connected

They all leave me wanting more. These characters stories ended too soon. can't wait until the next book!

Having read all the books in this series, I continue to be impressed by this author. I will continue to follow and recommend Ms. Jackson's books.

Brenda Jackson never disappoints and I Iove this Catalina Cove series. I hope there's more to come in this series. Ron Butler's voice is so smooth and soothing, I can listen to him read the newspaper and be calm and relaxed. If you've enjoyed the other books in the series, then this one is a must. I promise you won't be disappointed.
