The midwives on this podcast offer a lot of great information which I really appreciate. However, I do not appreciate their avoidance of the term “woman” when speaking about pregnancy and birth—which are topics that exclusively apply to female humans. Instead they choose to use terms such as “the birthing person” the “the person” in an attempt to be inclusive. I personally object to the erasure of women and womanhood in conversations about pregnancy and childbirth.

Good info, but I don’t like that they won’t say “woman” in a podcast about birth.
