I've been faithful long enough. I never claimed to be a good man, but I've always done what was expected of me. Find a nice girl. Get married. Have children. That was my duty as a good Christian man. And everything was going as planned when I met Briar. Beautiful. Charismatic. Sexy. But marriage is hard, and after seven years, I feel like I'm failing. Then, a figure from my past enters the picture.

Dean Sheridan is cocky and charming. When this twenty-six-year-old needs a place to stay, I should turn him away, especially after I notice the spark between him and my wife. But I don't. When I pressure him about his relationship with Briar, he does the last thing I expect. He dares me. He thinks he can take what's mine. And if it's a challenge he wants, its a challenge he'll get.

What started as a game becomes so much more. Between them. Between us. This isn't how normal couples behave. The games we're playing are dangerous. And the roles we're playing are far more. But God help me, I can't seem to stop. What we're doing is wrong, but it feels so right, and before long, I don't recognize the good husband I used to be.

This is the second book in the Goode Brothers series. This is Caleb Goode’s book. Caleb and his wife Briar, are a normal couple that lives in suburbia, striving for 2.3 kids life. However, both aren’t exactly happy. They haven’t forgotten the sexiness of being in love. They both feel like something is missing. I loved this book so much.

Ava Erickson, Aiden Snow, and Tim Paige did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration.

The intricate way that Cate weaves the “cheating trope” turned polyamory is glorious !! I saw this more as a “finding themselves as they truly are” versus a true cheating trope. The characters were raw and honest and it is an amazing story of three people who choose love over a life of living a lie based on being force-fed religious indoctrination. Must read!!

This audible was absolutely fantastic. The cast brought the story to life, and the writing made this book the best poly relationship I have read the gradual progression, made it so realistic I couldn’t get enough

I was so nervous for this book, but it tackled so many hard issues and unlikable tropes in such a respectful way. It was absolutely fantastic. There were some points where I think things could have been fleshed out a bit more, but probably weren’t due to the length of the book. Sara Cate’s writing just keeps getting better and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next two Goode brothers.

Narration: Three narrators in duet? We are being spoiled and I am here for it! Absolutely worth the credit/$ to listen to this. I highly doubt I would’ve loved it as much if I eyeball read it.

God bless Sara Cate

This book really stood out to me for breaking general cycles of men and women. I love how this all came together it was very interesting as well as spicy as hell. The scenes between them were all very hot and would definitely listen to this again.
