Publisher's summary

Peter Hiett argues that Genesis chapter one is the history of time - all time. And his-story is the genesis of you. The deepest story is that God is making you in his image and will not fail. Jesus is his word, and even when we nail him to the tree - especially when we nail him to the tree - he does not fail. Even though we wrote ourselves out of the story; even though we cursed the word, crucified the plot and damned ourselves, even that is a story within the story - the father’s story: The History of Time and the Genesis of You.

  • “Then God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Gen. 1:26).
  • “So shall my Word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it” (Is. 55:11).
  • “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold it was very good” (Gen. 1:31).

God will finish what he started. And everything, everything, everything, will be very good...including you.

Impactful and Heartfelt

First of all, Peter narrates his own book and does so with captivating grace. He commands a subtle emotional power that can only come from a profound sense of empathy and love. Second, he lays out the argument for love, and its strong. So strong in fact, it might even inspire the naysayer to take a deeper look at their heart. Last, his ability to weave story and humor through his scientific and theological studies is truly artistic and beautiful. I was thinking I needed to write a book for my children about this very topic to set their course, but it’s already been done and thank God it has!

A Great Book

Peter talks only briefly about quantum physics, which in my mind explains a lot of things. I like the style of writing. He does not make it hard to understand his point. A lot of what Peter had written in this book are things that I have thought, believed, or pondered at some point. For me, there was a lot of confirmation to things I believe.

The second book is just as good. More mentions of quantum physics. I wish I had focused more on science because I think I would have really enjoyed QP.

Great books! Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I Love this book and Narration!

This may very well be my favorite audiobook! I believe I purchased it in January of 2020 and listened to it nearly every night since. I am not necessarily saying that it put me to sleep, but Mr. Hiett’s narration is among the best and most refreshing delivery’s that I have heard in audio format; and his writing… what a communicator! It leaves me in waiting with anticipation for the follow up, “God and His Sexy Body” - Cummon already!!!
