Wonderful narration for a fantastic story!

I had already read the book, but when I found out there was an audio version I jumped on it. Jill Smith gives a wonderful performance with her narration. She brought the characters I love to life! I highly recommend this one for the narration and story.

Sweet love story

The Healer and the Warrior is a sweet love story in a unique world. The romance is at the forefront in this story but the world is so interesting I almost wish it wasn’t. I wanted more of the story instead of the focus on Zianya and Torric’s building love. Don’t get me wrong, I loved their story but there is so much in this world that is interesting. Zianya is a healer with the ability to heal fully but at great cost to herself the growth of her character pulls you in and in the end you don’t want it to stop Jill Smith does a dynamic job reading this story. She gives an innocence to Zianya that I may have missed had I read it myself. It was perfect.

Wonderful

Welcome to an unexpected journey between two opposites. Zianya is a soft hearted healer with fiery red hair and green eyes. She is called a witch because of her hair color and eye color. Torric was brought to her wounded. She heals him but it drains all her strength. She awakens on a horse with an arm around her waist and against a warm body deep in the mountains only to realize she has been kidnapped. Torric explains that he is taking her to his king so she can heal him. This unlikely pair fall in love on their journey home. This is my first book but I have already bought a series of four more. She is very good at giving life to her characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more. This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

Great Story

I liked this audio book and would recommend it. The narrator does a good job and has a very lovely accent. The title of the book says it all, though it’s mostly about The Healer and it’s written from her POV. It’s a good story, good world building, and I loved The Healer’s backbone and the rules she lived by.

Fantastic!!!!

Fantastic! The Healer And The Warrior by Bekah Clark is a true original! This amazing story brings the future and the past together with a paranormal feel. Bekah has such a way of writing that it draws you in from the chapter to the last, never sure what is going to happen. The world around you just fades away as you listen to The Healer And the Warrior. The detail of her writing is so clear that you feel like you are on this journey with the characters. Jill Smith is the narrator in this story and oh how I just love her voice. It is so soothing and is perfect for this story. This story has hate, loneliness, kindness, kidnapping, assassination attempt, battles, fear, healing, secrets, protectiveness, new friendships, innocents, unknown feelings, patience, poisoning, witch burning, birth, death, envy, spying, uncertainty, teasing, love and so much more. I highly recommend you listen to this wonderful book. Escape the world with Zianya as she tells her story on how she met Torric the Duke of Kingshold of Glane. ***This audio was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

Could not stop listening it was so good!!

I love reading but what makes a story/book even better is when you listen to the audiobook. Some narrators are OK and they don’t add much to the story. But some are GREAT and really pulls you in. Those books are so easy to just listen to it all day and get sucked into the story so much. That was the case for “The Healer and the Warrior” the story was really good. It starts off getting your attention and wanting you to learn more about the characters but doesn’t give you too much you feel like you know how the book is going to go. This is not a hot and steamy romance, but a sweet love that any normal person looks for. I loved how I felt like the story took place in the renaissance time period but still felt modern and relevant. Another plus is the main character showed growth in herself from being a village outcast and bullied to a strong independent woman who learned to pick her battles and stand up to herself and others who were also outcasted. The only negative I have to say is I wish there were more books. More about Zianya’s family, where she came from and then more about where their story goes. I feel like this could to be a series. Although it’s great on its own. And the narrator, OMG was fantastic I felt like each emotion and expression was justified in the narrator and I really felt like the voice matched the setting of person of the book.

The Healer and the Warrior

The narrator, Jill Smith, did an excellent job with this very wonderful story. When I first started listening I was captivated by Ms. Smith’s voice. I felt like I was there experiencing their trials while going to another kingdom to heal their ruler. There was an interesting unexpected ending, but you knew there would be a HEA.
