A winter walk along a quiet beach turns into disaster when a series of ghostly sightings and deaths unfurl that unlock a medieval spell of ghostly revenge upon the small East Coast town of Pakefield in Suffolk.

This ancient spirit is duty bound to complete a curse made by an ancient Viking warrior but its choice of victims however is random, and those who experience the spirits power are those you would least expect.

One man, John Stubbs, a local church warden, unwittingly stumbles upon the thread that could unlock the mystical activities dating back to Viking times, but can he convince others in time before the revenge is complete?

As the series of spiritual ghost-like assaults unfurl, John's faith is tested to the full, yet he fears becoming victim to its grasp himself. What could stop this happening?
