I'm confused
I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator.
If you have to use a credit don’t get this book, if you can get it for free then take the chance to listen to it, maybe you’ll understand it; I don’t. There’s no build up or explanation in the beginning so I don’t understand how it got to where it starts out. The story was full of action, but there were too many names and events that weren’t explained for me to really know what was going on. I looked to see if this was part of a series as it says book 2 but there’s no series listed and I couldn’t find another Bell Mansion book. So although it was action packed it didn’t make much sense.
I thought the narrator was pretty good. She has a pleasant voice and used inflections and such to make the narration better rather than sounding like she was just “reading” the book. The only issue I have with this narrator is my own personal irritations like she says e-l-t-s-e rather than else and pronounces all worse ending in lse that same way with a t sound in it.

This is a book I received from freeaudiblecodes and the review is my own opinion. I enjoy a good haunted house story. This is a haunted area that is a portal for demons with an evil witch that needs a sacrifice. Apparently there has been several sacrifices on this land over the years. They now were down to the last needed one with a special object.
Good tension and creep vibe. The narration was very good!
Need to listen to the series in order of #0, #1, then this.

I didn't like the way it started. I felt like I was dropped into the middle of the story. Some background at the beginning would have been better . Twisty ending I didn't see coming. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.
